Playoffs Week 5 Wednesday Previews

These are previews from matches involving Belgian Teams with all the latest on team news, player form, injuries along with my personal betting angles, ...

Not the day I hoped for yesterday as the match in Stadard stayed at a boring 0-0 while Westerlo vs OHL also didn't turn out in a goalfest. With 3 matches played all at once, things got too hectic for me to take any live bets which resulted in a -0.57 unit loss on just a couple of bets. Tonight, just 2 matches are played at the same time which should be more manageable.

Club Brugge vs Genk

Club Brugge managed to win against Union while not fully putting up a convincing performance. After the European matches, this will be their 7th match in 24 days and possible fatigue might work against them as for Genk this will be the 5th match. Genk played a very impressive match last weekend at home against Anderlecht winning deserved with a 2-1 score while at the same time they easily could have just gotten a draw since their finishing quality right now is not fully there. However, their spirit along with the fighting mentality is quite big at the moment bringing a ton of energy with El Ouadhi and Galarza. I expect nothing more than Genk once again bringing this very high energy which Brugge might not be able to match. At the same time, Genk hasn't given too much away in their matches which explains the 2.5 total line. I see the momentum being with Genk enough to take 0.2 units on Genk 1st Half +0.25 @ 1.913 & 0.1 unit on Genk +0.75 @ 1.860. I also think the corners handicap is set quite high and I took 2 crypto bets 0o 0.00767 ETH each on +3 corners and +2.5 corners at 1.7 and 1.85 odds.

Anderlecht vs Cercle Brugge

Anderlecht has been a team that shows a different face home compared to away. They won their 2 home matches so far with 1-0 and 2-1 against Union and Antwerp but lost away 2-1 and 3-1 against Club and Genk. They are still 1st in the league 2 points clear of Club Brugge and now have 2 matches on the Schedule against Cercle Brugge who on paper should be the easiest opponent. Cercle so far took 1win, 2 draws and a loss playing their usual annoying style. I haven't been overly impressed by them and they showed to be vulnerable at times getting much better results than when could have been. I took an early 0.217 unit bet in Anderlecht -0.25 @ 1.812. Cercle also is missing some players in defense with Utjus, Popovic, Daland,...
