Passive Crypto Earnings January 2021 (Lending/Dividends/Staking)

(Edited)

I continue to make these monthly reports on my Lending, staking, Dividends passive crypto earnings to help me keep track of it while giving myself some motivation to continue building while it also might give some good info to those who are also looking to get some passive earnings from their crypto holdings...

I will only cover mostly passive earnings in these posts not including earnings that take more effort like blogging, Gaming, Sports Betting & Poker or Affiliates on platforms like Hive | Publish0x | Scorum | Steemit | Uptrennd | Splinterlands | Nitrogensports | ...

How much exactly is needed to get to these numbers can perfectly be calculated along with the risk it involves, so do your own research on that if you intend to get in on any of the ones that I am using to get passive returns!

I have really grown to appreciate and love these passive returns on my crypto holdings and things are working out pretty much as hoped as there is both price appreciation along with earnings that come from them which is a pretty sick combo. At some point, this current cycle will come to an end though and I do intend to lower my positions trying to avoid riding things all the way down again as I did after 2017.

I did not move all too much last month mainly because the Gas Fees on Ethereum are out of control. Overall earnings increased quite a bit because of the current bull market.

Crypto Lending Earnings

I'm still using the 4 big Crypto Lending platforms (Celsius.network | BlockFi | Nexo.io | Crypto.com) as a way to both get the best rates and also spread the risk.

1. BlockFi

BlockFi is still the easiest and cleanest platform to get a return on my crypto earnings. I learned last month that one of the reasons they are able to give such good rates is because of lending rates people pay who want to short or go long on things. For BTC it remains at 6%, for ETH they give 5.25% and for LTC, rates have even increased from 5% to 6.5%. Payouts so far have always been extremely consistent. I did add 2 ETH in the middle of January.

BlockFi is also giving a 10$ worth in BTC to everyone that signs up and deposits at least 100$ in Crypto on their interest account when they sign up with a Referral link. Feel free to use mine or the one from a friend that already has a BlockFi account.

BlockFi Passive Earnings
0.00445067 BTC (205.89$)
0.08482348 ETH (150.12$)
0.08862342 LTC (16.57$)

2. Crypto.com Earn / Cashback

I still mainly use Crypto.com for my everyday expenses as their Visa Debit card gives 2% cashback. I pre-funded most of the food purchase expenses for 2021 at the start of the year onto my crypto.com account which works really well with their mobile app. I'm having some fun with those funds aiming to make use of the bull market to hopefully "eat for free" getting myself in and out of crypto directly on their app. I managed to pick up some LINK around 16$, ETH at 1200$ and BTC around 33k$ which are all in good profit and also earning some returns on their earn platform. They do charge a premium price on Crypto bought or sold through the app but the convenience is just extremely high for what I use if for which offsets that. I have moved all my ICX to atomic wallet by now and received the last payment there in January.

They are still offering a nice sign-up deal for everyone that gets on using a referral link (code: e7xe283zea) giving a free 25$ worth in CRO when meeting certain requirements.

Crypto.com Passive Earnings
1.3726 ICX (1.84$)
0.00006474 BTC (3.00$)
0.0008 ETH (1.42$)
87.98 CRO (7.01$)

3. Celsius.network

I still love Celsius.network which remains one of my favorite lending platforms since they offer so many different altcoins with excellent returns. I have been getting into more DeFi coins in January and want to get some of them on Celsius to start earning some returns (Synthetics 13.99% | Aave 7.51% | Compound 4.60% | Uniswap 4.01% | Uma 7.01% | ...) but I simply don't have enough to make it worth it with current Ethereum transaction fees.

Celcius.network is still offering a sign-up bonus up to 20$ in BTC for everyone that signs up with a Referral link depositing 200$ or more keeping it in place for at least 30 days.

Celsius.network Passive Earnings
15.22195 LINK (425.45$)
4.3012 EOS (18.24$)
6.69021 ZRX (10.70$)
0.01067 DASH (1.59$)
0.0000 BTC (0.53$)

4. Nexo.io

Looking at the website transactions, there has been a displaying issue where some transactions are just not showing. They do get processed though. right now I only have a little bit on EOS on my nexo account and I'm still considering to move over some LINK as they give 5% which compounds on a daily basis compared to 4.51% of celsius which compounds weekly.

Nexo.io Passive Earnings
2.1029 EOS (8.87$)

Crypto Dividend Earnings

These are dividends paid from projects that have actual revenue and share it with tokenholders.

1. Wink.org (WIN)

The daily payouts from Wink.org remain very reliable. They switched over to paying out 50% of the pool daily which makes things more stable. The price has gone up above my accumulation zone by now and I have a total of 25M WIN frozen there. With pirces going up and Dividend payouts being generous, it really added up last month.

Wink.org Passive Earnings
WIN 3013.23 TRX (141.77$)
RAKE 41.43 TRX (1.95$)

2. Sportbet.one (SBET)

SBET Dividends remain a reliable source of passive income even though sportbet.one still has a limited number of users. I have been tempted to double my holdings but I remain rather cautious being happy to hodl what I have in place. The dividends have increased the last month and the price increase of both EOS and BTC pushed overall earnings from this investment a bit higher.

Sportbet.one Passive Earnings
17.7322 EOS (75.54$)
1114.42 SBET (5.35$)
0.05395 mBTC (2.51$)
2.1812 USDT (2.18$)

Crypto Staking Earnings

From what I understand, staking is all about locking up coins getting rewards for it that most of the time comes from inflation.

1. Band Protocol Staking Rewards

I keep compounding the BAND I earn from staking in my Atomic wallet (currently at 260.9) but I do plan to take profit at some point on this coin hopefully on time. Some BAND can be earned for free on Coinbase Earn

Band Protocol (BAND) Passive Earnings
2.6754 BAND (40.00$)

2. Tron (TRX)

I still have 10k TRX in frozen voting for Super Representatives which brings in some passive earnings. All these small things do add up and it's easy to have them in place letting them ride right now.

TRON Passive Earnings
50.032 TRX (2.37$)

3. Algorand (ALGO) Staking Rewards

I'm choosing for convenience on the ALGO I'm holding since I'm not jumping to yet install another wallet on my desktop or on my phone. So I'm staking them on my Binance account which gives some good returns (8.79%). The entire staking/staving/locking/... on Binance is quite a mess as there are so many different options. They do provide passive returns for a lot of different coins (TOMO | ARK | EOS | ARPA | LIST | THETA | LOOM | KAVA | TEZOS | ATOM | TRON | ALGO | ONE | FET | STRAT | QTUM | KMD | VET | ONT | NEO | TROY | ERD | XLM | YFI | KNC | ...). Signing up with my Referral Link will also give you a 0.10% cashback on all your trading fees.

Algorand (ALGO) Passive Earnings
8.28 ALGO (10.10$)

4. ICON (ICX) Staking Rewards

I finally managed to get all my ICX bag I'm still holding from 2017 over on Atomic Wallet and have it staked there which gives a +10% return. This is also one of those coins I eventually plant to take profit on. For now, I just let it compound and see where it all goes.

ICON (ICX) Passive Earnings
21.1642 ICX (27.51$)

5. LEO Miner Rewards

Things continue to go up for leofinance.io and I managed to do a really good deal buying the LEOM (See taking a closer look at Leo Miners) paying ~55$ for the 170 just staking them since earning passive LEO. 20.14 LEO were mined which currently each go for 0.675$. This is one of those examples where getting in early can really do wonders. Right now, I just continue letting them mine.

LEO Miner Passive Earnings
20.14 LEO (13.60$)

6. SPT Delegation

I'm now done buying more SPT (Im at 1 Million ~320$ worth now) and will just let everything compound. I made a deeper look into these yesterday (See Post) and I do anticipate them to be worth more later on this year in case they get implemented into the Splinterlands Game exosystem. Delegating them to @monster-curator gives some nice passive earnings which in reality just ofsets the inflation, so most gains need to be made by the price jeeping up or increasing.

SPT Delegation Passive Earnings
28655.399 SPT (9.17$)

Wow! This is a post full of useful informations. It’s time for me to look deeper into DeFi and probably use some of your reference links for that.
Totally different topic. Have you already checked dublup.I? I know you are deep into betting and all that relates to it? Are you planning to get involved?

Thanks, I'm glad that I started putting effort in getting some passive return back in may last year. Crypto is offering so many opportunities and it all does really add up.

I have checked out dublup.io and placed a couple positions just to try it out. From how I understand it, this prediction market concept has 1 major flaw which is that it's impossible to know the odds you are betting on. If someone takes a side and afterward a whale comes in on the same side it pretty much slashes the odds.

Yeah, that was my thinking too. My further thoughts were, that you need somebody who is really in these things, who can profit by being that late whale. It’s just an idea, but it could be a nice add for the SPI Club together with the qualification to an oracle. However, the thing is you need somebody who has fun doing these things but is happy with a share.
