Meme Coin Summer Portfolio (#1)

I started a meme coin portfolio that I will track every week believing they will become a global lottery casino the public is going to love to bet on during this bull run...

Neme Coin Thesis

The way I see it right now, most people still don't really understand crypto while getting crazy FOMO when they see the prices continue to go up and up and up. Eventually, they enter the market seeing Bitcoin as too expensive while not understanding or being willing to do the needed research to understand different projects. So they end up having fun with the Meme Coins which are easy to understand. As prices go up, more people come in which increases the prices further with everyone having fun until the party stops and everything collapses.

I do believe recently we have seen a small pre-pump in the meme coins with them turning into the biggest world casino at some point where prices and market caps get totally ridiculous.

While I remain to have focus on fundamentals, it's hard to ignore this sector and play along with the game having some fun with a very small % of my portfolio.

Last To Hold The Bag

In the end, meme coins are nothing more than a game of hot potato with the ones that hold the longest getting burned. They are highly risky with crazy volatility and not an investment long term. I have been getting into them recently and will be maintaining a portfolio for a while trying not to get too greedy and if possible take some profit along the way. I won't put more than 5k into them that I'm fully willing to lose in case the top already would be in.

Meme Coin Holdings

These are the coins I currently hold and I will add more along the way.

Doland Tremp & Jeo Boden

I've been holding some Tremp since 0.40$ and Boden since 0.13$ already taking quite some profit on that last one. They are one of the first meme coins of their kind and are around a month old. Tremp has a 65M market cap and Boden already a 280M cap. With the coming elections this year, I expect it will become somewhat of a race between them reaching a peak near the time the elections actually take place. I aim to hold 1000 of each and maybe sell 200 or so in case they reach a 500 Million+ market cap riding what I have left until the elections. For all I know though, they will never get popular and go down from here.

WIF

Dog Wif Hat likely will become the main meme coin on Solana where trading remains the highest. Looking at how Doge at some point had a 77 Billion market cap, it's not unthinkable for WIF to get there this cycle. The community raised 700k+ also just to put it on the Las Vegas Sphere and it's widely talked about. For now, I just hold 100 but I will be looking to add to that position on dips or in case one of the other coins does well.

BENJI

In the previous bull market, dogs were the main theme of the meme coins and there is a chance that this time it will be the cats. With so many Swifties in the world and a new album coming up next month, I got some BENJI (Taylor Swift's Cat) which right now has a 3.4 Million Market cap. I did see recently that there was some drama on Twitter with the ones who created the coins passing the socials on to someone who marketed it with good success and the original owners now wanting it back which isn't too good. I'll see where this one goes in the coming months.

PENG

With Pudgy Penguins being the Bored Apes of this cycle. PENG which was also given the NFT holders could do well. There seems to be a good team behind this one and they are also a Solana Validator.

BONK

This is the original Solana Meme coin which I actually received from staking my Defibookie NFTs a while back and I have just kept in in my wallet without any intention to buy more.

There are some more that aren't on the list that I own that fully collapsed like PUTNI & PORTNOY which I too quickly got into a teaching me a good lesson. I also just got some USUG as I saw it mentioned in a video seeing how low the market cap was having a lot of greed as it did make me laugh. I do have some more funds on my wallet to deploy and mainly hope I can grow it naturally without the need to add much more. I've also been getting some airdrops of USA and recently MEW which combined are worth 200$ and give me funds to reinvest elsewhere potentially.

Conclusion

These coins are a lot of fun and I will be putting some more time into them the coming weeks hoping enough new people come in which will act as existing liquidity eventually. I will try to keep up a weekly update post on this portfolio and hope for the best while at the same time being fine if it all goes to zero as they are extreme high risk.
