Thursdays during European match weeks will be busy with 4 Belgian teams playing. I will try to stay focused and pick my match to watch instead of trying to follow 2 at once.
Union vs Toulouse
Union (35M) so far has been surprisingly good this season and quite consistent in their performance. Last week they lost against Genk but were actually the better team. While I wouldn't be surprised for them to at some point get into a losing streak, right now there is no indication of this based on their play. They are missing Machida in the defense but this should be no major issue. Toulouse (65M) is currently 13th in the league and got into the Europa League through the cup. One of their players is Donnum who used to be the captain of Club Brugge. I can see why Union is the favorite and expect another high-energy good match from them. My main leans are on 1H Over 1 as Union should not hold back and all 8 of their matches so far this season saw a goal in the 1st half. I'm also leaning toward Union if odds on -0.25 line would go above 1.8.
No Pre-Game Bets
Genk vs Fiorentina
Racing Genk (112M) right now has a team hasn't clicked yet despite them taking a win last weekend which was flattering. They really struggled in the qualifier also first getting eliminated for the CL despite being the team with more quality with the same thing happening in the Europa league to very narrowly qualify in the end for the cornference league. They have a good team and do manage to create their chances but don't have the same scoring capability of last season yet. Trasor was transfered while Painstil is suspended. Oyen will play in his place but so far he hasn't convinced yet. Fiorentina(247M) has more than double to player value in their squad and managed to reach the final last season in the conference league. They have 1 player in their team who used to play in Belgium with Kouamé who had a lot of quality. Based on the budget difference and the fact that Genk right now isn't at its best yet, I had to take a quick early 0.144 unit bet on
Fiorentina +0 @ 1.92. I aimed to take more after looking deeper into the match but odds have come down. The -0.25 line still remains an option in-game if match picture justifies it.
Club Brugge vs Besiktas
Club Brugge (121M) is a solid team right now with lots of scoring potential but also at times too slow starts and a defense that isn't air tight. Their managed to Qualify against a good Osasuna as are one of the candidates to actually win the Conference league which is something that they have on their mind. For me right now, they are a team worth betting and I also see them as a potential over team in goals. Besiktas (128M) managed to narrowly qualify against Dynamo Kyiv and they are currently 10th in the Turkish League and lost against Trabsonspor with 3-0 over the weekend. I do expect Club Brugge to show as the better team today and I managed to get 0.144 units on
Club Brugge -0.25 @ 1.80 which kind of were the minimum odds that I wanted. I also took 0.048 units on
Over 2.5 @ 1.85 and these 2 bets is what I potentially hope to add on in-game.
Luhansk vs AA Gent
This is one of those matches that I just leave aside as AA Gent (80M) who likely will do some subs in the team as they have a busy schedule ahead is the big -1.25 favorite against Luhansk (15M) who don't play in their own stadium. AA Gent has a good form going into this match but it reamains to be seen how the substitutes that play don't cause a quality drop. What I mainly look for is Gent having a scenario where Gent has a hard time needing to bring in A-Squad players who later in the match manage to get them the win.
