Belgian League 2023-2024 | Weekly News & Transfers Roundup

I'm trying to keep up to date with all the transfer news happening in the Belgian League during the summer bringing weekly reports on it with an eye on beating the Betting Market in the 2023-2024 Season once again ...

I have highly enjoyed the Sorare Fantasy Football NFT Play2Earn game last season and can recommend it to everyone who is a football fan and watches many matches as it certainly gives them an added dimension. I'm also using the transfer window to possibly pick up some good deals along the way.

The transfer window pretty much is in full force with all teams looking to properly build their squad for the new season.

Biggest News & Transfers So Far...

Anderlecht

Anderlecht got crushed with 6-0 in a practice match where it showed that they aren't ready yet both missing creativity in the midfield and feeling the fact that both Goalkeepers left. From what it looks like they are very close to assigning Maxime Dupé who is a 30-year-old experienced goalkeeper from Toulouse. On Sorare he's having an average score of 51 in the last 15 matches and he's going for around 30€ as a limited card. The deal yet has to be officially confirmed.

Antwerp

Not all too much news from Antwerp who will be playing the Super Cup next week. It looks like Janssen still is slightly injured while 16-year-old George Ilenikhna is making a good impression so he's expected to make minutes. This also goes for Goalkeeper Lammens who might even become 1st choice in case Butez ends up leaving. Both players are already quite expensive as limited cards at a price range between 40€-50€. I did manage to pick up a copy of Lammens a while back for 22€.

Kv Kortrijk

Their former 1st goalkeeper Marco Ilic was loaded out the last half of the year to Colorado Rapids and he now also made the transfer to that team. Another player that was loaned out is Radomanovic and he's now back with the team and expected to start in the team.

Eupen

Eupen saw 2 key layers leave with Prevljak (who is close to sign for Herta Berlin) and Peeters. It now also looks like they will lose N'dri. The biggest transfer so far was Bartosz Bialek as their new striker but he picked up an injury and will be out 6 months which is a major blow for them. So I expect quite a difficult start of the season for Eupen.

Cercle Brugge

They had a great general practice winning with a 3-0 score from Monaco which is their sister team. I assume they started with their projected a-Squad. Goalkeeper Warleson started the match and it very much looks like he will be the 1st Goalkeeper this season. Robbe Decostere also started which is great as I picked both up for a low price as Rare cards in anticipation. There are still players that might potentially leave the team though.

The Transfer window will stay open for quite a bit more time well into the season which starts in 2 weeks. So 1 more week left with these updates before I switch back to my regular Monday weekly results Roundup posts.
