Good start of the week on Friday getting in on OHL +0 early in the match after seeing the confirmation I needed. I don't have much to say aside from the fact that the grind continues today with 3 matches to have a look at and I'm looking forward to continuing to cover everything with an eye to making some profit along the way...
Waasland vs Eupen
Waasland is last in the league not having the momentum with them losing their last 3 matches. I don't rate them as a team that is without a chance but I'm not brave enough to back them since their offense right now is not at its peak form. It is not uncommon for teams at the bottom to all of a sudden start getting into a winning streak though which also makes me cautious to oppose them. Eupen has the ability to play very clean when they have the ball and the initiative but also have problems against team who are willing to put up a defensive approach. They will be without Musona, Poulain, Koné and Adriano today. I wrote how Eupen has had high corner matches last week to see them have a match with only 4 corners. The trend still is valid for me with Eupen having had at least 11 corners in 6 out of their last 9 matches and Waasland having gone over in 4 out of their last 6 matches.
Over 11 Corners @ 2.81 looks like being worth a shot and I took a tiny initial position on that looking to add in-game.
Sint-Truiden vs Zulte-Waregem
Both these teams struggled at the start of the season but recently managed to start winning some matches putting them above the danger zone. Sint-Truiden did lose their Cup match against Genk away while Zulte-Waregem had no cup match giving them more time to recover. Zulte-Waregem is a team that is subject to potentially have an off-day at any given time still and I don't yet trust them enough even as the underdog in this match. I don't expect a wide-open start of this match with both teams making sure they don't give much away in defense. This rarely lasts especially with Zulte-Waregem though so it could still turn into a wild game. The pitch should be fine as it's artificial, Zulte managed to train all week for these circumstances. My lean is on the over but I rather wait to see what the game brings. If it is wide-open from the start I don't mind hitting a bigger total line with higher odds even if it drops a bit compared to where it is now. If the match starts slow as I somewhat expect and the total handicap moves down quickly, I might have a go on that. An early goal would be the worst-case scenario. As always with Zulte-Waregem, late goals when they are behind is a valid option. I'm looking forward to this match but for now, I'm sticking to
No Pre-Game Bets
Oostende vs Racing Genk
This will be a very interesting matchup between Oostende who have been the revelation of the league playing a high pressing game also putting up good results. Racing Genk has shown that they have a lot of potential but the poor pitches seem to have shaken them up a bit. They did however show good signs in the cup match against Stvv while Oostende lost against Cercle Brugge. I expect a high-intensity match from the start and kind of fear for Oostende that they will get hit by fatigue being unable to keep their excellent form going. Both the +0 line and 2.75 lines that are currently in place make sense to me. I do have a lean on the over but will just wait it out and see what happens before getting in.
