Hello, Hivers and music lovers! Happy Music Tuesday at Hive!

This week I bring you for #threetunetuesday an Argentine rock band that although they have been around for a few years, I just discovered them. It was thanks to my son, who a few weeks ago as he is doing his summer internship in Chicago heard them live at Lollapalooza.

The name of the band is quite unique in my opinion, as it's called Usted Señalemelo, which translates as You Point It Out to Me.

The band reminds me of the Argentine rock I listened to in my youth with bands that have transcended the history of Latin American rock like Soda Stereo.

From what I've read about the band, they started playing together at 12 years old, released a first album in 2015 which was a hit, then followed another. But the band, in 2019 announced a hiatus that ended in 2022 with the release of the album Nuevo Comienzo. And they are the first Argentine band to participate in Lollapalloza. Source.

But before I get into the tunes, let me give you a little background for those of you who aren't familiar with #threetunetuesday. In the words of @ablaze, who started the initiative.

The jist is as follows
Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #ttt or #threetunetuesday tags that would be great. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.

You can find out more at ablaze's post for this Tuesday with his recommendations for this week the #116.

And without further ado, let's go with the tunes.

Tune 1 - Usted Señalemelo - Nuevo Comienzo

This song is from the album of the same name, Nuevo Comienzo, which marks the band's return to the stage.

Tune 2 - Usted Señalemelo - Agua Marfil

This song is the one I like the most of the ones I've listened to so far from the band. It doesn't belong to the Nuevo Comienzo but to the band's first album which was released in 2015. Agua Marfil left me trapped from the first time I listened to the first lines of its lyrics. It's a song full of emotions.

Tu vestido agua marfil
Salió volando a todos lados
Estallo en un mar sin fin
Sirenas cantaban al costado

Your ivory dress
It flew everywhere
It burst into an endless sea
Mermaids sang on the side

Tune 3 - Usted Señalemelo - Mañana

The third tune I have chosen to share is called Mañana and is from the band's second album, II.

If like me, you like the Argentine rock from the 80s and 90s, you'll want to keep listening to more of these guys, at least I do.

Thank you very much for reading!

Enjoy the music, and enjoy life!

Oh Rorro is right they are great!
Lollapalooza I have heard of too, is that a Chicago music festival?
I love how much of a similar taste in music you have Super Eli 💙

Lollapalooza is a huge music festival in Chicago. It's four days and hundreds of bands participate. This year for Rorro the highlight was seeing Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Our tastes are very similar except for one thing, Rorro likes rap and I don't like it much.

And these guys are great. It's been a while since I've seen a band with the genius that Argentine rock used to have in my younger years;)

We are getting close to 💙🌀's birthday. Only one day, hehe.
Good night, Super Ed!

A day in Edinburgh sounds like a good plan, hope the weather is nice, Super Ed.

And I hope Mrs. T gives Cinderfella a break from his duties and spoils him a lot that day 😉😆

That's a good set of music, I will rate them base on which I like thr most in these three.

  1. Agua Marfil
  2. Mañana
  3. Nuevo Comienzo

They all sound amazing but Agua Marfil caught my attention the most, same as you hehe, it has a very calming vibe into it, same with Mañana hehe.

These guys are really good. @coquicoin junior sees them in Lollapalooza, Mama digs em and shares with us for #ttt. Quality stuff and isn't life cool how it flows and shares cool stuff like this with us. I mean your son could easily have picked a different band to see at that time and I may never have heard these great songs. Nice one.
