A brief stroll at Los Palos Grandes square
Hello, Hivers and Wednesday walkers!
Today I am sharing a brief stroll I took yesterday morning with my husband. He is still on rest but we had to go out for some tests. We went very early in the morning since he had to do the tests on an empty stomach. When we left the lab, after having a croissant and a coffee for breakfast, we decided to let him take a little sunbath taking advantage of the fact that it was not so hot and that we were close to the Plaza de Los Palos Grandes. This square, which I have already talked about on some other occasion, is located in a neighborhood with a lot of life in its streets.
The square at that time was almost empty except for some blue awnings where we thought there would be a small fair, which turned out to be dedicated to pets.
So while hubby sat on one of the nearby benches to get some air, I went to take some pictures.
This is the street that goes up from the square. I have always liked that small and colorful mural. This development is to the north of the city, so at the bottom of the street, you can see El Avila.
There goes my husband, who after a break decided to go to the pet fair.

The fair was very small. They were selling pet stuff and there were a few cats for adoption.
The husband wanted to take this kitten, claiming that Milo needs companionship and I strongly objected, hehe.
This cat was a little older but seemed to say take me with you.
And this one reminded me of my dear Grogu. His fur was a bit dull though, not like my Grogu who always had a soft and shiny coat.
The square from another angle. This place although not too big usually hosts concerts and shows and is always very busy in the evenings.
The building that has a clock in front of it and whose tower I haven't managed to climb ever because the access to the stairs has always been closed.
Some cool reflections in the fountain which at that time was not in operation.

This is the street that leads to the square. With some nice shadows from the trees. Do you see the car passing on the corner? It was parked behind ours when we got back to our car.
I get a little closer and show you. A super well-preserved old Mercedes Benz with red seats. Beautiful.
But I was a little embarrassed to ask the man who was driving to let me take a closer picture when we saw it parked behind our car.
As we didn't want the husband to get tired, the walk was short. But before we left, a picture of the two of us to send to our son so he could see that we are #aliveandthriving. 😄

Beautiful post!... I loved seeing that classic Mercedes rolling like it was new, it brought back memories, my father had a similar one until I was about 7 years old... Thank you very much for that little tour of "Los Palos Grandes" "... You wouldn't believe me, but I haven't been to Caracas since 2012 when I went frequently for work reasons... I've become a hermit in a remote corner of Carabobo ha ha ha" :)
PS: We all want more cats in our lives!... It's a shame that it's not always the most appropriate (I have 7 cats and I always want one more, but my wife doesn't allow it, ha ha ha)... Greetings to you and your husband, I wish his health continues to improve more and more! ;)

Yes, the Mercedes looked like new, it made you want to take a ride in it, hehe. I'm glad it brought you back good memories.
Wow, 2012 was a long time ago. Caracas, although hard to believe, in my opinion, is now a friendlier city than at that time or maybe I think that because at that time I used to live engulfed in the infernal traffic and nowadays it is not what it used to be.
