I Stole To Repair A Broken Bicycle

I remember back in the days when I used to drag bicycles with my mates, they were always rejecting me from riding their bicycles. Despite the countless times I have tried, they were not giving me the chance to cycle. I was not in a good mood then and was angry with my mates and told them I would do the same to them when my dad buys me a bicycle.

The more I tried to resist them, the more I had a hunger for cycling. It became so tough that my dad was unable to buy me a bicycle. He told me categorically that "I will not buy you a bicycle as I am not having enough cash. It was a must to be riding a bicycle daily and so I had no choice other than to beg my friends to release their bicycle for me. At one time, they said I had to pay before riding it. They had to do it in a way that I would pay by all means. Anytime they climb their bicycle, they would ride it in a way that I would have a taste for it.

I later went to the farm just to get money to pay for the bicycle. That evening, I got the money and since it was too late, I decided to wait until the next day. I paid just to ride the bicycle for two days and four hours daily. It was so nice cycling for that day.

I cycled that day and got the bicycle wheel bent after hitting it on a tree. I was not having enough to fix it and instead took it to the owner. I had to explain what had happened to him. He said I must repair his bicycle or else he would report me to my mum. My happiness was downcasted and I had no choice other than to rush home. When I got home I had to steal my dad's money unknowingly to him. I got to my friend's house and I gave him the money to repair his bicycle. I got home and my dad did not ask for the money.

My mum called me and asked me to tell him the truth after observing the way I was behaving. My mum knew that I went to a farm to make some money for myself. She called me and asked "son, where is the money?" I was speechless for some minutes and later formulated a lie "I misplaced it when I was coming from the woman's house". My mum on the other hand knew how to get the truth from me. She said "don't worry, I will not give you food today. You are going to eat from where you took the money to today". My mind was up and was ready to tell my mum the whole truth so that I could eat.

"Tell me the truth about the money or else, I will not forgive you", my mum said.
My mind was judging me and I had no choice other than to tell my mum the truth about the money I stole from my dad.

I drew closer to my mum and confessed to her, "mum, I used the money to rent a bicycle that I rode today and would still ride for tomorrow, and I used the one I took from my dad's cabinet to pay for the bicycle I had destroyed". Immediately my mum heard that statement, her anger increased again "this time, you will not eat for two days except when you provide the money and tell the truth to your father", she was so furious.
I later begged her to forgive me. She told my dad and asked him to forgive me.

Being a mother, she forgave me and gave me food. After that incident, she took her old bicycle to the bicycle repairer to fix it. When it was done, she gave it to me to ride in the town. Wow… I'm now a bicycle owner even though it was not as fine as my friends.
