Pollution is Very Huge Problem Now

Today is World Earth day which was started somewhere in 1970s so this year it is 54th year of Earth day. Earth is the only planet where there is life and thus if we don't do our bit, it will not remain habitat anymore. With the population around the world us increasing and the pollution, we are seeing its adverse effect.

Like if I take an example of Bangalore, till couple of years back we used to witness rains every afternoon. But from the last couple of years it has become less. This year, we have witnessed the rain after 160 days. Along with that we started to feel the water shortage. Bangalore in 1990s used to be called as Lake City of India, but now we have very less number of lakes remaining. This is mainly because of the urbanization and I know the time is not far when we will witness water shortage in all over the world.

India became the most populated country in the world and we are still developing. The problem is the infrastructure is not developing at the pace the population is growing which is making the situation worse. And it will worsen as the time progresses. This year theme of the Earth Day is Planet vs Plastic, and thus it is our responsibility to reduce teh usage of single use of plastic.

For example, whenever we go out to get our groceries it's better to have your own bag or something so that you don't have to rely on the plastic. Like in yeh big malls and other places in Bangalore, they have stopped giving plastic bags. But still there are some groceries shops who gives out, so its better to take our own bag so that we can help reduce the usage. I know one person not using it doesn't make a change, but it should be our collective effort, you should not take as well as educate others to not take it.

As an educated person you know the side affects of having plastic, and it is your responsibility too to educate others so that they know too. I usually carry a small bag in my bag pack as well as whenever I go out for groceries, in this way I reduce the use of plastic.

Next, In India we get the electricity through coal which is natural resources and thus it makes the environment polluted too. So reduce the consumption of electricity as much as possible along with that if you have your own home then installing solar panel is best. The current government of India is doing their best to give subsidy for people to install solar panel and thus if you have the surplus you can sell electricity too. Along with that if you can conserve water as much as possible that would be great for the society like have rain water harvesting and other things.

These are some of the things we can start to do to help our Earth.
