Learn By Doing

As a Software Developer by profession, I had to be honest that we need to learn every day. It can be learning about a new challenge in the code, or for upskilling myself, whatever is the reason we have to study or learn. Even if the day job doesn't require, you have to learn about the new things in the market to keep yourself updated with the new technologies.

Now I am not saying that we learn everything, but it's all about your interest as well as your line of work. Like if someone is good in writing the backend code, they will learn about the front-end and keep themselves updated. If someone is better in front-end, they will try to find out any other way to improve the front end code. So it's all about how you want to progress in your career by learning.

If I talk about learning, the best method is by doing, I.e. make your hands dirty. For example, I lost touch in Angular front-end from the last 1.5 years and thus I have to create an application in Angular 17 to know what's all the nee things is there. Now it had given me the idea of a new project and thus I will be launching that soon. But the main point is you will learn the best way is by doing.

In my school and colleges time, our professor used to say that you have to practice math by doing more sum, you have to learn the concepts by writing it and what not. And thus similar things applied here too, when you do stuff your minds works in such a way that it keeps that in memory and thus it is hard to forget about thar easily. So the next time I will be working on Angular project I will take the learnings with me to be one step ahead.

For me other things is that I cannot learn via computer or mobile. For me the hard copy of a book is must, I know it's always hard to get the hard copy. But most of the time when I have to learn stuff, I usually order a hard copy which helps me to enjoy as well as I can concentrate better. In the online pdf, I doesn't feel like I am following along and might be it's a drawback fron myside. But I like to study using the paperback.

We're the same, I don't learn that much when using pdf. I prefer hard copy books. I also learn by doing what I want to learn instead of just staring and reading them.
