Freedom of Speech should not be taken for Granted
As opposed to the freedom of speech index where India is very low but let me tell you that India has a very good freedom of speech. I can say wherever I want but it should not be granted. Like for example, I can express my displeasure on some government activities or government actions and I can free to comment on that. And on the other hand if I start telling bad things about the country itself, which is not acceptable.

You might hear that in India there is no freedom of speech but trust me, people here give slangs to the current Prime Minister and there is no action to be taken because there is a freedom of speech. Now the thing is, the freedom of speech should be such that it should be respectful to others.
For example, some mock Hindu God, some creates a slogan for breaking India for them, it is an extreme case of speech which should not be tolerated. And I think not only in India, it should not be tolerated anywhere in the world.
As a individual I can protest, give suggestions, call out bad things done by the government and trust me this is the real freedom of speech. But if you start taking this for granted, create unsatisfactory memes or giving speeches then it's bad. But still people are doing it and nothing is happening to most of them. As an India I am not biased but trust me, freedom of speech in India is as good as any country in the world.
People practice their religion openly, preach about their religion, tell the wrong doings of anyone out there. But with the increase of social media, people have started abusing everyone in the wrong way. I remeber, there was a guy who has said about breaking India in pieces and he is in jail for more than a year and I fully support that. If you are taking freedom of speech for granted then you also have to get the wrath of the government.
For me it is the responsibility of every individual that they should keep their freedom in check because if not then sometimes it would be bad for them. In the name of freedom of speech you cannot abuse anyone, there is a limit to everything.

Social media is more charged and intense now with opinions of different kinds. I think everything has a limit, freedom of speech doesn't imply pulling down another group of people just because you see yourself superior or more important.
