The Anti-Excuse Blog Post!.png

Re-launching ClickTrackProfit has been an absolute blast!

The excitement that it has brought back to this industry has been fantastic...And even though we are about 2 months into the re-launch, we are only truly just beginning the journey.

This is only phase 1 after all :)

This post comes from an idea I discovered while reading 'Do Business Better' by Damian Mason. It's a book I challenged myself to read this week and after about 40 pages of content, I can already tell this is going to be a fantastic read...

IMG_0102.jpg

In the first part of this book he mentioned... Excuses!

And how there are groups of people that want to claim they are entrepreneurs, but have yet to build up the 'traits' to make success an everyday thing.

You see...This hit me because of the issues concerning the affiliate marketing world, specifically the industry that CTP has catered to since 2011...

The PayPal drama is well documented. The issues that it caused within affiliate marketing is not new 'news'...However think about this...

Opportunity didn't just 'dry up' when PayPal laid the hammer down.

In fact, I'd argue opportunity increased because of it. We like to talk about the glory years and 'when we had it so good'...However RIGHT NOW there is more opportunity than ever before.

The glory years...Didn't include social media! There was no such thing as Steem or CTPtalk.com...Yet here we are! Opportunity staring us in the face daily...And still we wish for the days of old.

Excuses!

The potential for astronomical growth and success are as clear as ever to me...The issue is marketers and entrepreneurs need to see these opportunities and focus on them.

Yeah, it's a different industry, but it's not 'harder' to make a profit. You just need to find your path and execute in today's environment.

If you are stuck...Try this;

  • Find your passion. Take some time to discover what you absolutely LOVE to write about, talk about, share with others...That's your niche!

  • Learn about how to build your mailing list on that niche. Learn about lead magnets, funnels and capture pages (Rumor has it that ClickTrackProfit covers all that lol)

  • Network with others in your chosen niche, but don't limit yourself. Steem / CTP are fantastic networks to grow your relationships...As are all social media sites.

  • Continue your education! Read a ton of books, watch TED talks, learn everything you can from the experts in your niche!

  • Stay! The! Course! Anything worth building will not just 'happen' for you. It takes effort, time and yes...Money! Invest in yourself and your business but most important...Have the patience to see it through!

The money didn't dry up!

The opportunities aren't gone.

Affiliate marketing and online business is as popular as ever.....It's time that we stopped wishing that the 'good ol' days' re-appeared and start working on our futures!

There is gold in them hills!

Jon has been at this a long time. He knows what he is taking about. Yet he continues to educate and better himself. We all can learn much from him.

I know I do.

Oh my gosh! So true.... They say that necessity is the mother of invention. When there is a need is the best opportunity to fill it. CTP is doing just that and is a great example to all that refer to the good old days

I would just add Do not be afraid of changing directions. What worked for you before may not work for you now. Keep an open mind and you will find the right direction for you. Great post Jon

Absolutely right, the market has changed and keeps on changing, but that is also where there is massive opportunity, not just adapting to the changes all around but actually take the lead and be the change and make change happen to create something new and hopefully better than what came before.

This is something that most people find scary, but it's how the best opportunities happen, and how our future is shaped, by people doing something different, maybe small or big, but something that no one else is taking action on even if they might have thought about it.

Stay awesome!

Awesome post Jon, you really hit the nail hard with this one!

I've been thinking the past 2-3 days re Paypal. Here in New Zealand, we can still use that payment processor to make payments, just cannot top-up like we used to. So, I got wondering, the lose of Paypal is not an excuse, it's an opportunity.

Site owners had to adjust quickly to survive. The ones who could do that back then are the ones we see today, with new systems and structures in place.

Perhaps we've been viewing Paypal far too long as the enemy, when really what has happened is a truly a blessing. The future is here, on Steem and platforms like it that embrace this new crypto age. We are living now on the cusp of a major change movement that will determine humanity going forward for the next 25-50 years.

Great to be part of that movement! After all, a new birth often is painful, and pain is just something we all have to endure from time to time.
