Is there another edition of the #hivelearners community?

Each country has its own currency l I am from Nigeria for me the faces in our Maria note don't deserve to be there.

In my country, we make use of naria, and each note has different faces; the majority of the faces are people who govern us after we get independent from our colonial masters.

Currently, seeing those faces makes me angry. I don't think that politicians faces should be on our currency notes. They are heartless and care less about the citizens; they are selfish; they are after their own well-being; they don't care about the people they are governing; they are after their personal pocket and investing for their families.

Each time I see their face in the naria note, I feel pain because the corruption we are facing today in our country started with these people, and for me, they don't deserve to appear in my country's currency.

Those people in that currency did us bad by killing our loved ones; seeing them opens my wound.

People who should be in our currency are freedom fighters, people who are not selfish.

People who have the interest of the citizens should be in our currency.

If I were to choose someone whose face will appear in my country's currency, who could be the person? Well, there are many great people, but there is this noble woman whose face I will love to grace my country. There is no other person than Mary Slessor. Mary Slessor is a freedom fighter. If her face should grace our currency, it will be an honor, because if not for this woman, my mom would not be in existence.

Because she is a heroine, her good deeds are still worthy of her name. She was the person who stopped the killing of twins, and even after my generation, she will still be recognized. People who have done noble work like this should be in my country's currency. At this point, I don't care if she is from my country or not.

King Jaja of Opobo also did noble things; his face should appear in the currency. When we talk about trading in the early 90's, King Jaja is one of them. The missionary stopped entering some part of Nigeria, and after he got his freedom, he was trading with the white men.

Also, those innocent souls that were killed at the Lekki toll gate are innocent people fighting for their rights and freedom; they are heroes and heroines of our country. It will not be a big deal if their faces appear in our currency.

Conclusion

If those faces in our Naria note change, I will be very happy. Those faces don't deserve to be there.

This is my response to the ongoing content on #hl-w89e3. Have a nice weekend, and be safe.

You have spoken well, about those people who lost their lives during the Lekki massacre and should be graced with this opportunity so that they will remain forever in our hearts.
