Boat Maintenance Time

I took my boat ashore today to service my boat. I will wash and paint my boat for about 10 days.

This is where I've been bringing my boat for maintenance for years. A small shipyard by the Bosphorus. This place produces fishing boats as a boutique. Fishing boats produced in Istanbul are sent to Norway. I would love to have a place like this.

The view from the top before entering the shipyard is wonderful! My boat is waiting to be pulled ashore below.

And it was my turn, my boat was pulled ashore. A lot of mussels have grown under my boat. It will take some time to clear them.

I do regular maintenance every year, but this is the first time this year is so dirty.

Oh my god, this is a throwback to the last time we took our boat out of the water. Unfortunately we were never able to get it back in the water as our financial circumstances changed rapidly, and we had to sell the boat. Enjoy the maintenance, but especially the moment you get the boat back in the water and sail away!
