“What's up, doc?”. CCC's Street Art Contest #142

Hello,

I was walking yesterday after work near the cliffs of Castro Urdiales with my mind set on visiting one of the cemeteries in Spain that apparently presents multiple awards for its beauty (The whale cementery). I did not know that there was this category of art, but just as a preview to some post I show you one of the crypts where a large bronze angel captures all the attention and you forget that you are in a cemetery.

However, when leaving the cemetery I saw that in the immediate vicinity there was a park where I saw some striking graffiti like the following that caught my attention.

Since at that time there was only one father with his two young daughters on the tracks, I decided to walk around the tracks with the intention of not disturbing them and avoid taking pictures with minors in a non-consensual way and on several sides I was finding several graffiti and murals.

When I was finishing looking at each of the ramps in the back of one of them, I found this mural where you can see a blue Batman with the letters that form the word shore. As a DC comic book lover, I got the double joy of seeing one of my favorite superheroes and at the same time in the form of urban art.

But the mural that I liked the most was on the largest U-shaped track.

On the back of it were painted Bugs Bunny and his girlfriend Lola (I don't know if in countries other than Spain it was called by this name).

As you can see the mural represents every feature of these friends of my childhood in detail and I think with total resemblance to the Bugs Bunny drawn by Tex Averey.

Another point that I love about the mural is the detail that both rabbits carry a spray paint in one of their hands as if they were going to paint themselves on the side of the runway.

And on a spicier note, Bugs Bunny seems to be whimsically bringing his hand close to his girlfriend's chest. I don't know if the kids who play in this park will have noticed as I did.

For those interested in visiting the area, the address of this skate park and the whale cemetery is C. Padre Basabe, 39700 Castro-Urdiales, Cantabria.

Finally, I want to thank the support to this contest given by @ervin-lemark @trincowski, @heroldius, @melinda010100, @ecency, @tobetada and @arcange.

Regards.

All these graffiti are very nice. Here in my state you don't see much graffiti like this anymore, many of the ones you see are already worn out and few people are dedicated to this.

A pity that urban art is being lost.

Great selection of Street Art, perfect for a skate park. I really like the one with Batman but the mural with Bugs Bunny and his girlfriend is cool too especially with spray can in their "paws"... Thanks for sharing these pics on The StreetArt Community.
