From the ground to the park litter bin or better in the recycling bin.

Hi folks,

A few weeks ago (16th April) on a Sunday morning I was on my way to the bakery to pick up my bread when I saw that on the playground in the park in my village there were cans of soft drinks and sunflower seed hulls piling up.

I couldn't do anything about the organic remains of the sunflower seed shells at that moment, but seeing those empty soda cans in a place where there are usually children playing football made me sick to my stomach and I couldn't go on my way without taking action.

Without thinking twice, I decided to take the three cans and take them to the nearest place to remove them from that public place. Specifically, my intention was to take them to a rubbish bin that was a mere 50 metres away from the place where the cans were lying.

During those 50 metres, I remember that I harboured sadness because the young people in my town are not very aware of being respectful with the environment and keeping the place where they are going to play the next day clean.

However, as I was taking the photograph of the moment when I was throwing the cans into the bin, I thought that about 200 metres away there were some recycling bins and that it would be more appropriate to take these cans there.

Specifically, I took them to the yellow bin, which is the colour indicated for plastic containers and other recyclable containers such as aluminium cans.

After that, I went back to the park and saw that everything was cleaner in the area opposite the park.

And finally, I disinfected my hands with hydroalcoholic gel that I always have in my bag and went to buy bread.

Best regards.

You did the right thing that less people care especially the young ones nowadays. I hope they saw tou doing it or they'll realise that taking car eof the environment is as important as taking care of one self. Have a nice day 😊

It was very early in the morning and there were no children or young people to set an example.

Let's see if I can teach them some other time.
