Trying to find routine in day 7 of unemployment

Morning fellow CTP Talkers and Hivians,

I am sure I am not the only one that feels like a zombie or walker. lol. Trying to find a new routine in this new world. I did watch a new episode of the Walking Dead last night and you know what I am thankful for? That there are no walkers from COVID-19. lol. Sorry. Had to say it. I am sure others have been thinking it. hehe.

So lets try and get a discussion going today! I am going to tell you my new routine (may be short) and you tell me yours. Here it goes.

First big change is no alarm clock. I normally have the alarm set for 6AM. What time am I getting up now? Between 6 and 7AM. I guess my body is trained. I do all my normal online stuff then. Read some blogs, check out my 20 tabs I have open in my browser. Log in to Click Track Profit Join me on CTP then start writing my daily blog post in the CTP Talk Community.

After all that I try and find something to do around the house. I have odds and ends of renovation that I am finishing up so that is helping but that is going to run out soon. Waiting on money from the government is an interesting thing. Going to be the first week in years that I have not got a pay check. I know the government will back date and lucky enough to have some money put aside for a rainy (pandemic) day. So we should be good.

But keeping and finding a routine is not easy and it is not going to be easy I am sure most of you can agree. But I am thankful I am home during these times.

I am again not going to give an COVID-19 numbers today just to say that there seemed to be declines in many countries and the world total yesterday. I hope this becomes a trend and not just because it was a Sunday. Hoping beyond hope.

I need to have a little rant about people and stupid people. And I apologise ahead of time if I offend anyone. This pertains to where I live in Newfoundland. Some people just don't get, or they read into government statements what they need to for their own lives. Seeing things on twitter yesterday blew me away. Let me explain.

Here is a copy from the government of Newfoundland website:

"Physical / Social Distancing
Physical (social) distancing means limiting your physical contact with other people in order to stop, slow down or contain the spread of COVID-19. Everyone has a part to play in reducing the spread of COVID-19.
You should try to stay home as much as possible.
If you do have to leave home for essentials such as groceries or medications, avoid crowds and maintain a distance of 2 arm lengths from other people. Try to go during off-peak hours.
Physical distancing doesn’t have to mean social distancing. There are lots of ways to stay connected with your family and friends, such as Facetime or Skype, telephone calls, and social media."

So yesterday in parts of Newfoundland they had a "lets make noise" for all the essential works. Go out on your porch bang some pots and pans, honk your horns. They had ships and mills blow their loud horns. It was fantastic. A great rally of support and community action. I loved it.

But when you get video of a water front and it is lined end to end with vehicles driving by, site seeing, having a look around. This is not social distancing and stay home. So on twitter multitudes of people gave their thoughts and I could not believe how many people still don't get it or think the rules only apply to people that have COVID-19 or have been in close contact with people that have it. I was about to type "I don't get it" but I do, some people in this world are just selfish and stupid. There I said it. Got it off my chest.

What is going on in your town?

I think that just took the good out of me! lol. So I will wrap up this post.

Stay safe everyone and please follow the rules.

I was working from home for the last couple of years, so there is no big difference for me regarding alarms and timetables... But, the big difference is that I'm not alone as I was earlier and have a lot of "noise" in my home... and it's 24-7... So, it's difficult to find routine and focus...

And regarding covid-19 and people stupidity... I have said it a lot of times... lol.. So, I don't want to repeat myself... :)

Thankfully, more people here are afraid, since we have lost around 12 doctors already in the fight against covid-19. How I wish we could also expect some welfare from the government. Alas! We have yet to see more action from the national government in defeating this covid-19 virus. It seems that more private firms and individuals are more active in helping out, esp our medical frontliners. Sad, sad state indeed. Still praying for better days. I know that all will come to pass.. soon! Take care & be well!

Thanks for the thoughtful engagement. Learning so much about other places in the world and the response of different governments.
