The price of Hive and HBD

This morning I feel like I been waisting time. It is Sunday and instead of my usual day off, I have day 2 of 2 of firstaid training. Now I don't have to leave the house till around 7:45 to get there on time but I still got out of bed at my workday time of 5:45am so I could get some HIve stuff done.

Then I had temp writers block. So I do as I always do and start looking at others people posts and threads looking for inspiration. I seen that Khal had threaded the Hive price. It was at 31 cents when he did. And that got my mind going.

In the graphic above it shows .3029. I took a one week graphic instead of the 1 days as I wanted to see the volume. And there does not look like any big volume pump.

What I really wanted to talk about is why the price of hive is important but at the same time it does not matter.

We all love green candles. But that is not what we should be concerned about as buiders on Hive. If you are trying to extract money from Hive, I believe, your main concern should be HBD for that. You should have you posts set to 50/50 payout so you earn HBD.

As Tasks says, markets are markets and you cannot predict them. But one thing I believe, most of the time, is that the price of Hive can be a good indicator of the health of the growth of Hive, as in new people joining. As we continue to grow, as more people join and get on boarded there is going to be a need for Hive. People are going to need RC. And you need HIve powered up to HP for this.

If we get a massive influx of people and they don't want to wait to earn just from PoB then they got no choice but to buy on the open market. If a business, or communty from web2.0 joins then the same thing will happen.

What I am trying to get out of me is, the price of Hive on the open market can reflect on the health of how the Hive user base is growning. And this I love.

LEOFINANCE DHF

Maybe the Leo teams DHF and their marketing campain to bring new people to Hive is working. I have not read a post in awhile about how it is going. I think the last one I read was a week ago and it seemed to be doing well.

HBD

If you have not already read Evidence How Hive Is Changing Lives by Task, you need to. It goes along with what I said above about HBD.

It is coming to light that it would seem that the majority of Hive's growth will come from under developed parts of the world. Or from people that need that little bit of extra income. And it makes sence. People need motivation to come to Hive. It is not just for fun. Although I am sure there are a few people here just for fun.

The example Task gives in his post of Nigeria. Now to quote some of his information, because it is great examples.

"To show where the bar is, we look at the minimum wage in Nigeria. This equates to around $38.95 per month (30,000 NGN). This is what an individual earning the minimum in Nigeria gets."

38.95 a month. To use in the developed world I don't think we can even comprohend this. Hell I picked up KFC for supper last night and I spend a full months Nigerian wage on it. That really puts things into perspective.

Now, even with my little Hive account, in the run of a month using the 50/50 Hive/HBD payout I think I usually earn about 50 HBD.

Think about that. If a person making min wage in Nigera could double thier income from being on Hive. How life changing would that be to that person. It is mind blowing.

These are the seeds that need to be planted around the world. This is what is going to cause the network effect for Hive. This is what is going to bring the best blockchain on the planet to the masses.

HIVEFEST

I am reading bits and pieces coming out of HiveFest. The building, the infastructure that is being worked on sounds awesome. I won't go into details in this post, as I need to do more reading.

Lets just say that Hive's foundation is getting stronger all the time.

I have said it before and I am going to say it again. Now is the time to be on Hive, now is the time to show up everyday, post everyday, ingage every day. Now is the time to work on where you are going to be in 5 years on Hive, because I truly believe Hive will be second to none in that time frame.

Hive is changing lives now, it will continue to do so. Don't miss out on it changing yours.
