One Door closes and another opens

You all know that saying, in the title. When one door closes, another door opens.

Today I am closing the door on 8 plus years at my current employer.

At the end of the day it will be my last work day. I believe the 5th December is my final, officially, day. But I just happened to have 6 days book off before I put in my notice.

I am closing the door on this chapter of my life.

I will be doing my yearly trip to my grand-sons birthday this weekend. I will be leaving Friday and getting back in time to start my new job, well, a week from today. Next Wednesday.

They say, a change is as good as a rest. Then let me tell you, I am going to have one hell of rest.

Honestly I thought for sure I was going to retire with my current employer. But stuff happens, things you do not forsee.

When opertunity knocks on the door. Well to say the least, it was so loud that I had to answer it this time.

I thought I would share this morning as I don't know why, tribaldex and hive-engine front ends are not working for me. They must be working on something, improving things, as all nodes are up and look to be fine.

If I seem out of touch, shorter posts, over the next few days, now you know why.

Upwards and onwards.

Let this old dog learn some new tricks.
