Morning all,

mad.png

Yes, Mad and Pissed off this morning. Well it only took 4 1/2 months.

Nothing like logging on to your computer and seeing your have been mentioned on Steem. It is always exiting. Until this morning.

  1. Who the hell is @spaminator and why are you adding me to a spam list or what ever it is?
  2. Who/what the hell is a @mack-bot this has been going out and down voting my posts.
  3. So they say I am hacked? Tell me how and what I have done to make you think that.
  4. To the best of my knowledge I am NOT hacked.
  5. @spaminator - send me the proof that I am hacked.
  6. Can you tell I am MAD?

To all the good people and friends I have made here on Steem forgive my anger this morning. I am not going any where but I just got a really bad taste in my mouth.

Back to regular programming but it will be short and sweet. Not good after this.

That is it.

Short post this morning.

Have a great day

No reason to be so pissed. I get that it's not pleasant to wake up like that, but you've got to see the full picture here.
You received those DVs to warn you that your account has been compromised. The posting keys were acquired and used by the hacker to upvote his posts. Check your voting behavior for any votes you did not cast.

The advice from Steemcleaners is to remove yourself from any trail you're following (if any), then keep monitoring your account for upvotes you didn't cast yourself. If you're not on trails, or still see strange upvotes, change your password.
Once your password has been changed, let the people at Steemcleaners know in their Discord channel, and they will remove you from the bot list and everything will go back to normal

It's not for certain that your account has upvoted.
From the post:

We have no way of telling which accounts are permanently under hacker control, which are hacker-owned and which are active victims.

The "Fiftysats" botnet is owned by an individual who maliciously exploited Steemit's account creation faucet and some third party apps to create and gain control of over two thousand accounts.

Even if there are no weird upvotes going out, your account is somehow linked to that network. Steemcleaners know what they're doing. They're not joking about these things.

So the DV is a precaution measure. A warning that someone is abusing or could abuse your account in the future.

You don't want that to happen. Believe me, I've been there.

Even if there's only a tiny change that someone has control over your keys, you should change them immediately. Don't take any risks.

Once you've changed your keys, hop into the Steemcleaners Discord server. In the channel mack-bot-appeals (or general), let them know you did so. They will take you off the mack-bot list and take away the DV.
(And give them a little time to get back to you. I know from experience that it can take a couple of hours before someone is online to help out there. but they always do.)

You are right to be mad @bradleyarrow, but I am also sad to inform you that they are right, they should have given you more details about the hacking though.

I checked your profile in Steemworld and took a screenshot of your outgoing upvotes, and you made a 100% upvote on @ steemengineteam (and you have been for 2 days), this is a known fishing account, they have nothing to do with Steem-engine, and they go around leaving small upvotes and also a comment on each, and they pitch you to check out their website and when you log in with your Private Posting key they use that to upvote their own posts, and to stay as low as they can they only do 1 upvote at 100% per day and they keep on fishing and milking away like that until you change your keys.

So go and change your keys as soon as you can, the easiest way is to do that is in your Steemitwallet, and you need your Private Owners key for this, after that is done make absolutely sure that you save all your 4 new Private keyes, this is especially important because it changes all keyes and I am not sure that even your Master Password works after this, so save them very safely, and keep up your awesome work.
