Gamification

GAMIFICATION

Noun

The application of typical elements of game playing (e.g. point scoring, competition with others, rules of play) to other areas of activity, typically as an online marketing technique to encourage engagement with a product or service. |"gamification is exciting because it promises to make the hard stuff in life fun"
[Source from Google].

One thing I have learned over the years in online activities is that gamification can go a long ways.

My first real exposure to this was back in the day when I was big into paid to surf websites/programs. It is how I found Clicktrackprofit. They had gamification in getting badges.

Surf 50 sites get a badge, surf 100 sites get a badge, etc. You could collect and show off a lot of badges.

It was not only fun, but it gave you incentive to surf more. And it gave the site owners incentive to have badges to give out.

We see this on Hive. Some communities give out badges. Hive Buzz does an awesome job giving out badges.

CHIA MINING

To my surprise today when I checked my stats on my mining in the pool I belong to I had a badge. I did not even know they had badges.

It might seem silly to some but it excited me.

It is a badge of honor. It is proof of your productivity. Kust awesome.

LEOFINANCE/HIVE ZEALY

Here is the newest and currently my favorite gamification.

Due quests, earn points, win prizes, and there is a leaderboard.

I think there is a reason there is a saying, let the games begin.

We are trying so hard to bring web 2.0 over to web 3.0. And I honestly believe gamification can do it.

I haven't really looked into the new Zealy campaign but I like that Chia is gamifying the process. It keeps people engaged and I hope you are profitable off that venture.
