BMR for 6th June 2021 - Bitcoin News

As we all know most all other crypto follows Bitcoin in it's ups and downs in the markets. So yesterday I decided to do some reading, looking for the good the bad and the ugly for what is going on. I gave a quick post last night and a few tweets but I thought I would do a more expansive post this morning.

I found this interesting (not in a good way) story, Why central banks will crush bitcoin in The Globe and Mail written by BARRY CAMPBELL and it is what they call an 'OPINION" piece.

My take away from it was either the man does not know anything about crypto or just don't like it. Then again he may be protecting his business and income: "Barry Campbell is president of Campbell Strategies Government Relations and Communications, and a former member of Parliament and parliamentary secretary to the Minister of Finance."

Maybe the most exciting thing I read last night was El Salvador President Bukele wants Bitcoin as legal tender.

Finially, a country going to make Bitcoin legal tender. I know a book or ten can be written about El Salvador and what the country is going thought but, Bitcoin as legal tender. If this is successful for El Salvador you can just imagine that other countries will follow suit.

A couple quotes from the story:

"The move would make the Central American nation the first in the world to formally accept cryptocurrency as legal money and would “allow the financial inclusion of thousands of people who are outside the legal economy”, Bukele said on Saturday."

“Next week, I will send to Congress a bill that makes Bitcoin legal money,” he said during a video message to the Bitcoin 2021 conference in Miami.

Does this make you excited?

Square will invest $5 million to build solar-powered bitcoin mining facility. All this news yesterday, should have drove the price of Bitcoin up up and up but other things going on that hindered that. But at least Square is listening and trying to help Bitcoin become Green.

Then, Jack Dorsey on bitcoin: ‘I don’t think there is anything more important in my lifetime to work on’.

This statement blew me away: "In fact, “if I were not at Square or Twitter, I would be working on bitcoin. If [bitcoin] needed more help than Square or Twitter, I would leave them for bitcoin,” he said. “But, I believe both companies have a role to play.”"

All this news, the markets should start climbing, should being the keyword. If this stuff was said on Wallstreet about the stock markets or stocks in the stock markets they would be post record days.

Then you get the downer, the reason why there more than likely was not a rally yesterday. Bitcoin Drops Amid Weibo Crypto Suspensions, Goldman CIO Survey.
