Yeah, Hive already does that...

It is a foregone conclusion that when a mainstream news or media outlet writes a post about cryptocurrency they are probably going to get a lot of things wrong.

Either that, or there is going to be so much FUD that you need a backhoe to move it all. I seriously have to mentally put on my muck boots before I really pretty much anything crypto related that comes across my Google feed.

There are a couple of news sources that cater specifically to cryptocurrency related topics and generally those are a little more palatable to read.

Coin Telegraph is one of those that tends to be less egregious in their coverage of all things crypto and blockchain. I have to admit, I was a bit let down when this story came across my feed this morning.

I bet you are thinking the same thing I was right? This is totally going to be a article about Hive. Heck yeah, it is about time, we have been working towards some recognition for a long time now. Finally all of that hard work is coming to fruition.

Sadly, if you take a look at the article, you will see that is far from the case.

Instead, the article is about some company I have never heard of called Howdoo and their upcoming social media app called Hyprr.

They cite the need for a space where content creators can post censorship free. Ummmmm.....

Hey! Over here!

Yeah, you!

Hive has that!

The article also states that Howdoo will also "support the bustling non-fungible token economy".

Hey! Yeah, me again!

Hive does that too!

I could go on, but you should read the article for yourself. If you don't feel like it, the long and the short of it is they are promising to do pretty much everything that Hive already does.

I wish there was a comments section under the article so I could point that out. Sadly, the masses arguing politics have made it so that most media outlets have removed the comment feature from all of their articles.

Oh hey, guess who hasn't...

Here's a hint, it starts with an H and ends with an E!

Don't get me wrong, I am not opposed to competition, but talking about this project like they are doing all these new and innovative things is a slap in the face to everything that we have been building for the past year.

What do you think? Anyone ready to start cross posting on Hyprr?

Might go there and shill hive a little and test their supposed censorship-free platform.

Good luck with that! Maybe we can draw some people over here. Maybe it will be so buggy at first that people want something more stable.

Maybe people just don't like anything @dan created, even if it has merits.

That is probably part of it. His track record is tough to nail down. He has some really great ideas, but then he gets bored and bails. It would be nice watch him see something through for once.

They obviously paid big $ to Coin Telegraph to spruik them.

Until Marketing based Proposals get enough votes in the DHF, we are going to continue to be forgotten about by the crypto media.

That sucks. I hadn't even considered that Coin Telegraph was paid to write the post. That makes all kinds of sense now that you say it.

Hive doesn't seem to get much media coverage, but then it can be hard to find as it's a hard thing to search for. I used to do a news search for Steem/Steemit and found a few stories that way.

Yeah, we are definitely the underdogs a lot of the time it feels like!
