Este 2024 empezó con lindos momentos, al lado de personas bastante importantes para mí y por supuesto, viajando lo cual es algo que me encanta y disfruto muchísimo hacer.

Hola amigos viajeros, feliz día! Espero que se encuentren super bien y que su inicio de mes este marchando de la mejor manera. Por mi parte me encuentro bastante bien, feliz y recargada de buenas energías ya que el fin de semana tuve la oportunidad de viajar con la familia de mi novio y visitar un lugar hermoso donde descansé bastante y admiré lindos paisajes, por aquí les contaré mi experiencia.

El lugar esta ubicado en Gaira, la cual es una pequeña localidad que forma parte del departamento de Magdalena, se encuentra a unos 10km al sur de la ciudad de Santa Marta y debido a esto mucha gente lo asocia con un pequeño pueblo de esta ciudad. Esta localidad ofrece muchos atractivos, entre esos su música, ya que es bastante famosa por su contribución al género musical vallenato, también por su gastronomía, playas cercanas, naturaleza y por supuesto sus festivales y eventos como las cabalgatas que organizan.

Hello traveler friends, happy day! I hope you are feeling great and that the beginning of the month is going in the best way. For my part I am feeling pretty good, happy and recharged with good energy because this weekend I had the opportunity to travel with my boyfriend's family and visit a beautiful place where I rested a lot and admired beautiful landscapes, I will tell you about my experience.

The place is located in Gaira, which is a small locality that is part of the department of Magdalena, is located about 10km south of the city of Santa Marta and because of this many people associate it with a small town of this city. This locality offers many attractions, including its music, as it is quite famous for its contribution to the vallenato music genre, also for its gastronomy, nearby beaches, nature and of course its festivals and events such as horseback riding.

A pesar de que salimos tipo 3:00pm, el viaje se extendió más de la hora correspondiente ya que habían muchos turistas viajando por lo que la carretera estaba bastante llena, así que llegamos a la finca en horas de la noche pero como de lo malo siempre hay que quedarse con lo positivo, gracias a que la noche nos agarro en la carretera pudimos admirar el hermoso atardecer llegando a Santa Marta, así como también pudimos apreciar las luces con que estaba decorado el lugar las cuales lo hacían lucir muy lindo.

El dueño de la finca nos dio la bienvenida con una cerveza fría pero sobre todo con una actitud super agradable que nos hizo la estadía bastante cómoda y divertida. Nos mostró todo el lugar, todo lo que estaba a nuestra disposición y por supuesto nuestras respectivas habitaciones, que debo decir estaban bastante cómodas. Esa noche disfrutamos de una deliciosa comida al carbón la cual pedimos por domicilio en un lugar recomendado por el señor Reinaldo (el dueño del lugar) y horas más tarde disfrutamos de la cálida piscina, la cual tenía horario extendido.

Although we left around 3:00pm, the trip was extended more than the corresponding time because there were many tourists traveling so the road was quite full, so we arrived at the farm in the evening hours but as the bad always have to stay with the positive, thanks to the night caught us on the road we could admire the beautiful sunset arriving in Santa Marta, as well as we could appreciate the lights with which the place was decorated which made it look very nice.

The owner of the farm welcomed us with a cold beer but above all with a super nice attitude that made our stay quite comfortable and fun. He showed us around the place, everything that was at our disposal and of course our respective rooms, which I must say were quite comfortable. That night we enjoyed a delicious charcoal meal which we ordered from a place recommended by Mr. Reinaldo (the owner of the place) and hours later we enjoyed the warm swimming pool, which had extended hours.

A la mañana siguiente aproveché de tomar foto de la entrada al lugar la cual tiene la dirección en su puerta por lo que es más fácil ubicarse, la verdad, buscar este lugar fue todo una aventura ya que decidimos irnos a Santa Marta a nuestra suerte y desde allí buscar lugares, así fue como dimos con este pequeño paraíso.

Aprovechamos la claridad del día para poder apreciar mejor el lugar, nos acercamos a los establos para ver a los caballos y compartir con ellos un rato, resulta que son bastante dóciles y cariñosos, nos pudimos acercar sin problema y acariciarlos un rato. Habían tantos, en total eran unos 20 más o menos, todos bien cuidados y recibiendo su tratamiento adecuado si así requerían.

Me contó el señor Reinaldo que al inicio este lugar era un criadero de caballos únicamente, pero poco a poco lo fueron ambientando para recibir turistas y así fue como nació la finca “La Juliana”. Este lugar tiene caballos propios y también cuidan caballos de personas importantes y de alto rango en la localidad.

The next morning I took the opportunity to take a picture of the entrance to the place which has the address on its door so it is easier to locate, the truth, looking for this place was quite an adventure since we decided to go to Santa Marta to our luck and from there look for places, that's how we found this little paradise.

We took advantage of the clarity of the day to better appreciate the place, we approached the stables to see the horses and share with them for a while, it turns out that they are quite docile and affectionate, we could approach without problem and pet them for a while. There were so many of them, in total there were about 20 or so, all well cared for and receiving their proper treatment if required.

Mr. Reinaldo told me that at the beginning this place was only a horse breeding farm, but little by little they were setting it to receive tourists and that is how the farm "La Juliana" was born. This place has its own horses and also takes care of horses of important and high ranking people in the town.

A demás de los hermosos caballos, que debo admitir, al inicio les tenía un poco de miedo, también habían pájaros con hermosos colores, como esta pareja de guacamayas que no sé ustedes pero a mi me deslumbraron con esos colores tan vivos y llamativos, también habían periquitos brasileños y australianos. Estos me encantaron ya que por las mañanas nos despertaban con su hermoso cantar así que se podía sentir ese ambiente natural.

Besides the beautiful horses, which I must admit, at the beginning I was a little afraid of them, there were also birds with beautiful colors, like this pair of macaws that I don't know about you but they dazzled me with their bright and flashy colors, there were also Brazilian and Australian parakeets. I loved them because in the mornings they woke us up with their beautiful singing so you could feel that natural environment.

Algo que me gustó mucho y debo destacar de esta finca es que habían bastante animales, todos eran demasiado cariñosos, a demás de los caballos y periquitos también habían conejos, un gato y por supuesto, los perritos de los dueños. Por aquí les muestro al conejito, a la perrita Ava (Pastor Alemán), Roco (Labrador) y Evelio (Braco Alemán). Así que como pueden ver no fue un problema llevar a nuestra perrita Zoe con nosotros, se divirtió bastante, corrió por todo el lugar y por supuesto, se hizo muy amiga de los perritos, sobre todo de Evelio.

Something that I really liked and must highlight about this farm is that there were a lot of animals, all of them were very affectionate, besides the horses and budgies there were also rabbits, a cat and of course, the owners' dogs. Here I show you the bunny, Ava (German Shepherd), Roco (Labrador) and Evelio (German Braco). So as you can see it was not a problem to take our dog Zoe with us, she had a lot of fun, she ran all over the place and of course, she became very friendly with the dogs, especially with Evelio.

Como duramos 3 días y 2 noches, tuvimos tiempo suficiente para explorar el lugar, encontramos una especie de azotea o segundo piso donde estaba ubicada la sala de estar del lugar, es un ambiente bastante familiar y perfecto para los amigos, aquí encontramos una mesa de billar, un gran sillón, un mini bar, un enorme televisión para ver peliculas o escuchar música si así se desea y justo en la tarde se puede subir para admirar el paisaje, entre esos el atardecer y a las vacas que hay cerca.

As we lasted 3 days and 2 nights, we had enough time to explore the place, we found a kind of rooftop or second floor where the living room of the place was located, it is a very familiar atmosphere and perfect for friends, here we found a pool table, a big armchair, a mini bar, a huge TV to watch movies or listen to music if you want and just in the afternoon you can go up to admire the scenery, including the sunset and the cows that are nearby.

El lugar a mi parecer es bastante completo, así como también el ambiente es ideal para compartir con la familia y los amigos, esa misma noche pudimos hacer un asado en las instalaciones del lugar, disfrutamos de la piscina pero sobre todo compartimos un rato agradable con la familia.

Sin duda fue un fin de semana bastante emocionante, visitamos la playa, un río cercano del cual les contaré más adelante ya que es un punto turístico, pudimos llegar al rodadero y almorzar junto a la playa, entre otras cosas. La verdad es que no conocía de esta localidad o comuna, pero conocer lugares nuevos es algo que disfruto muchísimo hacer así que ya se imaginaran lo feliz que estaba, sobre todo porque estábamos rodeados de naturaleza y paisajes hermosos.

Si desean conocer Gaira, no se dejen engañar por las primeras impresiones, los lugares más lindos (así como esta finca) están escondidos, esta es una buena opción de estadía por si desean conocer pequeñas localidades de Colombia, sobre todo si les gusta lo campestre, por el contacto con la naturaleza y el lindo ambiente. The place in my opinion is quite complete, as well as the atmosphere is ideal for sharing with family and friends, that same night we were able to have a barbecue in the facilities of the place, we enjoyed the pool but above all we shared with the family a nice time.

Without a doubt it was a very exciting weekend, we visited the beach, a nearby river which I will tell you more about later since it is a tourist spot, we were able to get to the rodadero and have lunch next to the beach, among other things. The truth is that I did not know about this town or commune, but knowing new places is something I really enjoy doing so you can imagine how happy I was, especially because we were surrounded by nature and beautiful landscapes.

If you want to know Gaira, do not be fooled by first impressions, the most beautiful places (like this farm) are hidden, this is a good option to stay if you want to know small towns in Colombia, especially if you like the countryside, the contact with nature and the nice atmosphere.
