Usually, I would say that it's that day of the week in which I find the most interesting Splinterlands experience I've had over the past week to share! However, just like last week, I will instead talk (again) about Splinterland's very own BTC Halving Promotion - The Baron's Bounty!

But first, a quick look at what happened this week in the world of crypto.

It has been a surprisingly tame week post BTC halving. BTC and other major cryptocurrencies have generally trended lower, but it has not been swinging wildly in any direction otherwise. It seems like the expected bearish "sell the news" event has not transpired, neither has the bullish "to the moon" predictions. We will see if the prices follow the past few halvings over the following months. 📈🚀

A brief introduction before I start though...

Good Day to all Splinterlands players! (and people of HIVE! 😜) I've made it a point to blog about my weekly progress and experiences in Splinterlands/HIVE in my "weekly diary". Splinterlands & HIVE are what I'd consider to be my entry point into the World of Crypto, and I intend to use this as a means to look back on the path I've taken in the years ahead.⏳⏳⏳

This is now the 127th consecutive week writing in my Diary (of sorts) detailing my Splinterlands Journey ever since I started this game. I talk about what has gone on my personal Splinterlands playing experience, my weekly Guild Brawl Reports, and also any Splinterlands ingame news. 🎉🥳🎊

This week's Social Media Challenge is yet again about the Baron's Bounty Bitcoin Halving Promo Event!

I have discussed quite a bit in detail about the stats of the 2 promo cards on offer in my post last week. If you are interested, you can go to the link below to read my previous post again! 😜

However, just to recap, the Legendary (Baron Fyatt) and the Rare (Henchling Enforcer) promo cards are both dual-element units with the Halving ability as you can see in the picture of their stats below.

The more crucial PSA I have to announce is that this limited edition promo is about to end very soon! In just 3 days, on the 1st May 2024, the option to buy these cards directly from Splinterlands will be gone for good. Of course, it is probably likely that a player can still rent or buy them from the secondary marketplace. However, any chance to get them at a "discount" by using VOUCHERS will be gone by then.

If history is any indicator, the past few halving promo cards have gradually risen in value over time. Past indication is no prediction for future performance, but you can draw your own conclusions as you will. 😉

I definitely can appreciate how utilising the most of these 2 cards strengths can lead to unexpected outcomes. This is one of those situations in which a well timed attack from the halving ability could lead to a huge advantage for your team. The role every single carefully selected unit brings to the battlefield will give a player the edge in squeezing out every tiny advantage to get the win. 👍🏻

For any players who feel daunted with the new battle level changes, I hope this article has given you some insight into the potential of every single card regardless of it's level. 😉
