The Uncle Project - How I Got Scammed On Zip Recruiter.
Crazy that I got scammed but I wasn't scammed in crypto this time like you'd probably expect if you're a regular listener of the Uncle Project Podcast. They got me using really popular websites like ZipRecruiter and Gmail. These scam artists are getting a lot craftier in 2024, can't have a false sense of security just because we're using reputable websites more.
I plan to learn and move on from the situation but I wanted to spread some awareness of some of the crazy fishing scams out there. If you ever do end up in one of these types of situations where you verify information with a scammer that you shouldn't have, there are things you can do like getting a new Driver's License number and freezing your credit, but it's best to avoid the situation all together.
But hope you all can take something away from this episode. Share it with friends and family.
Hopefully, I wont have to make any more episodes like this, but I do... smh

There’s no central authority to ban you here on Hive so at least you won’t have to worry about that here
I'm not sure why. Some dude was going off at me on stereo and tried to twist what I said about working hard. Then next day boom, I'm gone just like that. At least here is a free space of freedom
Yes, I’m finding that stereo is great as a tool but it’s still difficult to have a constructive conversation with the community as it is. A lot of the mindset of the community seems to be cater to what the algorithm supports which is unfortunately drama a lot of times
