Worth the money

So, the good news is that we were able to offset some of the debt we owe the school for October. We've brought it down from 2180 to £780 and set to cover that part in early December.

I had to take another loan from my Sister and even though that's something I'd have liked to avoid, I have to be grateful that I have people that love me enough to take a gamble on me.

Honestly, our journey to the UK has been very incredible. We have received a lot of support from our friends and family members.

When I exchange notes with other people that moves from Nigeria, I find that our experiences are very different. For that, I am extremely grateful and will do my best to make everyone proud.

Paying back our debt to people we owe will all be in due time. Clearing a decent chunk of the debt to the school has to take priority for now. In any case, we'll still be doing whatever little we can to offset debt whenever the opportunity comes.

I try not to think too far ahead but in certain situations, it can't be helped. We only have 13 more months to stay in the UK, so I have to be thinking about paying for our visa extension and that costs money.

Of course, I may not need to pay for the extension if I find a job that sponsors me. After one year at the customer service job, I'll ask if they offer sponsorship but I'll also be looking outside to see what's available.

It’s good to chip away at these things man! I’m glad you had someone you could get a loan from in such an important time, that helps a lot!
