Using Pancake has been stressful

My entry to liquidity farming was with Cubfinance and so it is all I know. However, after clicking around for a bit, I decided to dabble a bit with Pancake swap, just to test the waters in uncharted territory.

When it comes to crypto, I try not to be too adventurous because that's how you lose money and I hate losing. However, you have to be open-minded as well because that's how you make money and love winning.

So my first foray into the lands outside of my comfortable castle in Cubfinance was to Pancakeswap. My first impression was "wow this looks exactly like Cub". Well, Cubfinance is a fork of that platform.

The issue is, Pancake swap is EXTREMELY slow and unresponsive when compared to Cub. I suspect that might be due to the fact that there's more activity there. Regardless of the reason, it makes the experience very frustrating.

Trust Issues

The other issue is that despite being a known brand, I still don't trust them as much. I get there are billions of dollars locked in there but I'm still not totally at ease with the platform.

For example, there's this upgrade going on now where they're moving Lps to a new smart contract. I get that is probably for the benefit of the platform, but for a noob unadventurous farmer like myself, stuff like this tends to spook us.

The upgrade required that LP providers unstake and remove our liquidity from the old contract and then add to the new contract. I did exactly that but then I couldn't farm anymore because the Farming thingy wasn't seeing the liquidity I provided.

I don't think I made any mistake because like I said, the platform looks exactly like Cubfinance and I'm very familiar with it. I couldn't stake the Hakka/BUSD farm despite adding liquidity to it.

That was frustrating because I still don't know what's going on. I suspect it has something to do with the upgrade and so I decided to leave completely and just move everything back to Cub for now. I'll continue farming on Cub until I've raised enough to try again in Pancakeswap.

I noticed that announcement, then saw my farms are still farming so I guess the news ones aren't live yet!

I guess. I think my farm was still active as well but I felt uncomfortable with the whole upgrade thingy there.

It's certainly been a pain reconfirming everything - thankfully I'm only in 2 farms

Yeah. I took out the assets I polled there and moved it to Cub. I'll try again in some weeks when I've accumulated a few hundred dollars from my cub farm.

So you both were invested in the Farms, but so far you have to remove your liquidity from the LP there for version 2?
How are the APR?

Well done for having a go. I haven't ventured outside Cub farming yet and would have to feel a lot more confident that I do now before I do so.

Yeah. Easiest route is to use profit from cub farming to farm pancake

I get why you want to be adventurous, I might have if I had the funds, but....I’m pretty much as illiquid as possible,.. so I wish them luck

You can stack up rewards from your leo posts and then dive into cub pool. Use your profit from cub pool to enter pancake.

A lot of tokens from the Safe family that were created on the Pancake platform I think caused a lot of malfunctions in the platform

One project at a time...that is what I tell myself. I understand the amount of research required to understand a project well enough to have a stake in it. This is why I have stuck to hive this long because I understand it to a certain degree. The most I have tried outside here would be cub(bsc). I most likely would try out rune and that's all I can handle.

I was going to try pancake but I did not have any strong incentive to. I am already farming on cub. Plus pancake and cub are in the same blockchain doing the same thing.

Yeah fair point. Sometimes it's best to stick to what you know.

Me I'm trying to diversify and also give my chance of qualifying for an Airdrop, in case they do one on pancake.

When I've accumulated $500-100 on cub, I'll take it and move to pancake again. Will move cub earnings to pancake until it's like $2k and then later on I'll start moving cake and cub earnings to Autofarm until that one don reach $2k.

I basically want to have a chain of farms working together. It will take months to achieve but will be totally awesome to have that kind of elaborate operation.

Seems like a good plan. Got some safemoon on pancake yesterday. That's there most I have done there. Heard about a supposed new burn policy, that is something to look forward to.

Just curious, isn't there a link between cub and pancake?

Sorry to hear that, I hope you didn't lose any of your capitol on Cake. I bought Cake on Leofinance and after the LP closed I had difficulty selling it, it was very slow, so your experience with delays is not unusual from my perspective.
