Almost done

I'm sat at the bustop to the warehouse job for the penultimate time and all I feel is relief. Normally, I'd be bugging out about the shift and looking forward to the end before I start but today, it's a bit different.

I guess knowing that I'll no longer have to work these uncomfortable nights out in the cold makes me feel better about the night.

Anyway, the new information that I've not talked about is that I've decided to quit the warehouse job. As much as I like the extra income, I have to be honest to myself and the truth is that my body cannot handle the stress any longer.

I've been thinking about quitting for a while now and I reckon the weather made the decision easy for me. Well, that and the fact that my wife got a new job she'll be starting on Monday.

I would have liked to quit last week but I need to complete Wednesday and Friday of this week to ensure we have a little bit to cover our expenses for the week.

I basically emptied my bank account immediately I received it last week to pay fees and rent. I've had to work the extra shifts at the warehouse to ensure we aren't empty.

My work for last week will cover for this weekend and this week covers for next week. My salary comes through in the subsequent week, so I don't have to worry about that period.

So, yeah, I'm quitting the warehouse job on Friday and I seriously cannot wait. Just one more week of stress and I can start looking out for other things.

For what it's worth, I intend to do another job but it will not be a physically intensive job. My long term plan is to have something flexible like doing deliveries or whatnot but until then, I'll just look out for night receptionist or security type jobs. Fingers crossed.
