Productive weekend finally after a long time

I'm very glad and happy that I was able to finally spend a highly productive weekend. I really feel bad that my weekend is almost going to end and I have started my routine from tomorrow. I guess this is an outcome of a dry week I have been having for the past 2 to 3 weeks. I couldn't spend enough time to do any productive tasks in the last few weeks. I guess that is one of the biggest reasons to make this weekend most productive.

I have to honest that the weekend did not actually have a good start. I had to work on a production deployment and issue resolution for my office work. That made me sleep very late on Friday. I was thinking that this weekend is going to be ruined because of the late-night sleep. But fortunately, I don't know where I got the will power but as soon as I woke in the morning on Saturday, I started being productive.

To start with, I started reading a concept in coding that I had kept on my list for several months. I started getting so deep into that topic and wanted to implement it in one of the applications that I was building. That's how the day started and it was very refreshing. I was thinking as if I was studying for my school exams and I paid complete attention to what I was reading. The actual productivity was at a peak only after my lunchtime yesterday.

I'm someone who usually gets distracted easily if I start to do some work. But yesterday maybe the topic was interesting for me or I was in a good mood or maybe I was in frustration that the past 3 weeks were so dull and boring. From afternoon till night, I cleared so many items from my action list. I did work on multiple projects this weekend but I'm glad that I was able to take so many pending items off my list. Today was a little busy day with family stuff but I did spend some time in completing a project.

It is so refreshing

After all this good experience over the weekend, I feel very refreshing. I wish I have similar weekends in the coming days as well which gives me good productivity. It is usually a great feeling when we take a pending item off the to-do list after a long time. Sometimes experiences like these also come with lots of teaching. This time I learned that I should stick to my task and how I should be controlling my distractions.

It is always better to have one completed task than having multiple in-progress tasks in parallel. Working on multiple things always gives stress to the mind. At the end of the day, there will always be an incomplete feeling in the mind. This will also affect sleep at times. I just realized that when we take up a task, even if it is boring, we have to somehow sit and complete it without procrastination. If I'm procrastinating something just because I'm lazy to do it today, I will have to anyways do it by myself some other day. So, it is better to take up the pain and focus and complete it when I get the opportunity. It is so relaxing.

Yes, that's true. It is not possible to enjoy something without having any interest on that. We can enjoy only things that interest us. 🙂

Yes, I understand the feeling of achievement, it is very gratifying and I am happy for you. On the other hand, sometimes we are so submerged in productivity that we forget to live. Time is the most precious asset that we generally waste on inconsequential things. So a wise decision is to determine what task is essential for you and what contributes to your real well-being, only in this way is you fully productive.

I completely agree with you. Thanks for the heads up. Ya, I still have to work it out. I tend to miss so many things in my real life being very busy.
