Jobs On X - Is This The LinkedIn Killer? Maybe

LinkedIn is a very strange app to me, acts as a spyware exposing your every action to people you're connected to(making it difficult for you to like shit without your employers or business partners seeing it) and demands KYC for shit reasons, the absolute definition of “you're going to use our app how we want you to, not how it pleases you”.

Madness!

And I must say, it does a pretty good job deceiving new users to think of it as some pretty heaven with zero limitation for growth yet employ various tech to limit your ability to build and track your process, outside of its platform-reported stats.

Again, Madness!

Oh, it's owned by Microsoft, go figure.

Gotta go premium for some level of flexibility and there you have it, my usual intro shittalk before I get to what really matters:

Jobs On X: The LinkedIn Killer, or not?

I saw something new whilst browsing twitter the other day, particularly when I visited the Uniswap profile after reading about its limit orders debut.

Now I'm not sure how long this feature has been on X as I'm not a frequent user of any of these socials, but I found it interesting to see “job listings” on company profiles like Uniswap.

There's been quite a lot of developments on X since Elon Musk bought the microblogging platform and by far, this one is quite intriguing as it could effortlessly bring down LinkedIn, unless of course, some companies may hate Elon and not wish to use X for sensitive operations as listing jobs and hiring directly via the platform.

The everything app seems close to reality at this point and it sure looks good on X.

What we need to understand about “Jobs on X” is that it's an over a billion users network as LinkedIn has over 1 billion users and over 49 million users search for jobs on LinkedIn every week.

Some other interesting stats include:

-Over 67 million companies are on LinkedIn.

-16.2%(134.5million) of LinkedIn users are daily active users.

-77 Job Seekers Submit an Application on LinkedIn Every Second.

-Every Minute 6 People Are Hired on LinkedIn.

And there's more.

Such numbers would place X above Facebook and would have it compete with Indeed for the top spot in the “Job hunt” marketplace as that site is currently a competitor of LinkedIn, topping as the most used source to seek jobs.

The profitability of winning over such a market cannot be overstated. Currently, various B2B advertising takes place on LinkedIn and ads are reported to be highly successful. Businesses reportedly see a 33% purchase intent increase with linkedin ads and 77% of marketers term the platform the best for platform for organic marketing results.

All this is due to the service it offers: connecting businesses to job seekers.

As bad as it can be, it's still the go-to space for companies to make hires and for job seekers to seek employment.

An X capture of such a massive business network would be astounding for its future as a successful everything app.

My doubts have been tested, we'll see if trying to win it all will work at the end of the day.

The truth is that I had not heard about that feature in X, but it sounds very interesting, and if it is well received by users, easily X can be the replacement for LinkedIn, because in X a lot of active users will take those job offers.

This topic is very interesting and I think I will investigate a little more about it, thanks for sharing this with us and I hope you have a happy day.
