Walking around Bogotá (EN-ES)

Greetings, my dear walking friends of this community. I hope you are feeling well, in good health and well-being and that you have been able to make the most of the mid-week.

First Wednesday of April, the invitation is always to go out and enjoy a good walk to recharge ourselves with the energy of the nature that surrounds us. Today, I'm back to share one more walk through the streets of Bogota.

This time, I went out to get to know new places, new roads in this city. I wanted to leave for a while the area where I live and get away from what I already know, for this I had to use public transportation, from 63rd street to 119th street.

A large avenue with its island of trees and greenery and wide walkways invites you to stroll and enjoy shopping malls and stores in the middle of the street.

Saludos, mis queridos amigos caminantes de esta comunidad. Espero que se encuentren muy bien, con salud y bienestar y que ya, a mitad de semana, hayan podido aprovecharla al máximo.

Primer miércoles de abril, la invitación siempre es que salgamos a disfrutar de una buena caminata para recargarnos de la energía de la naturaleza que nos rodea. Hoy, vuelvo a compartir una caminata más por las calles de Bogotá.

Esta vez, salí en plan de conocer nuevos lugares, nuevas vías en esta ciudad. Quería salir un rato de la zona donde vivo y alejarme más allá de lo que ya conozco, para esto tuve que usar el transporte público, desde la calle 63 hasta la calle 119. Ya en este lugar conocido como Usaquén, al norte de la ciudad, comencé mi caminata.

Una gran avenida con su isla de árboles y verdor y anchas caminerías invita al paseo y al disfrute por centros comerciales y tiendas en plena vía.

After walking for a while, I came across the Santa Beatriz church. From the avenue, I could see a simple and very beautiful construction, with a different architectural style from those I had seen around where I live. I would have liked to go inside, but it was closed. So I have to go back one Sunday to get to know it and listen to a mass.

Luego de caminar por un rato, me encontré con la iglesia Santa Beatriz. Desde la avenida, pude observar una construcción sencilla y muy bonita, con un estilo arquitectónico diferente a las que había visto por donde vivo. Me hubiera gustado entrar a conocer su interior, pero estaba cerrada. Así que tengo pendiente volver un domingo para entrar a conocerla y escuchar una misa.

In these images I captured you can see that there is no shortage of trees and greenery. It is always a pleasure to come across beautifully planted and well-kept gardens.

En estas imágenes que capturé pueden ver que no faltan los árboles y las zonas verdes. Siempre es un placer encontrarme con jardines de hermosas plantas y bien cuidados.

A surprise on the way was to find a door, without walls around it, which was placed at the edge of the garden of a building. I couldn't resist taking some pictures of it and let my imagination run wild.

It seems to me that this green door leads us to another world, a green world, kind and generous to all its inhabitants. A world free of pollution, where there is no evil and where we can all enjoy a peaceful, harmonious and well being life.

With these photos that I leave here, I share one of the things that I am grateful to live here because I enjoy walking around Bogota.

Una sorpresa en el camino fue haberme encontrado una puerta, sin paredes alrededor, que estaba puesta en la orillas del jardín de un edificio. No pude resistirme a hacerle unas fotos y echar a volar mi imaginación.

Se me antoja que esta puerta verde nos lleva a a otro mundo, un mundo verde, amable y generoso para todos sus habitantes. Un mundo libre contaminación, donde no existe maldad y en el que todos podemos disfrutar de una vida tranquila, armoniosa y de bienestar.

Con estas fotos que les dejo por acá, comparto una de las cosas que agradezco de vivir aquí porque disfruto mucho caminando por Bogotá.
