My first grannys (EN-ES)
Happy Easter, my dear friends of the needles. I hope you enjoyed the weekend to the fullest, together with your loved ones and that you can enjoy a few days of rest and rejoicing, during these days.
Today, I come back very excited by the community to share with you what has been the result of my practice, knitting grannys. I had never dared to knit them, but I have tried and I feel satisfied with this essay.
Feliz Semana Santa, mis queridos amigos de las agujas. Espero que hayan disfrutado al máximo del fin de semana, junto a sus seres queridos y que puedan disfrutar de unos días de descanso y regocijo, durante estos días.
Hoy, vuelvo muy entusiasmada por la comunidad para compartir con ustedes lo que ha sido el resultado de mi práctica, tejiendo grannys. No me había atrevido nunca a tejerlos, pero lo he intentando y me siento satisfecha con este ensayo.
To knit these grannys I followed a pattern that was sent to me on instagram. I thought it was so cute that I didn't hesitate to start knitting it. I looked for my yarns and a 3.5mm needle and I got into action. I confess that I had the idea that they were very complicated, but, the truth is that they are not and, in addition, they can be knitted very quickly.
But we must be very careful because we should be very precise when we knit the stitches, we should not skip a single one. We should not skip a single stitch. It happened to me! But I didn't realize it until I finished the row and changed the color of the yarn. I couldn't go back! I didn't get discouraged, on the contrary, I continued, because I kept repeating to myself that this is part of learning, that mistakes can teach us many lessons.
I made the mistake in the granny in earth tones, in the beige stitches. In the groups of three high stitches, there was one group that I only made two high stitches. If you detail it well, you can notice it.
I loved the yellow and fuchsia granny. I knitted it more carefully and it turned out much better in my opinion.
Para tejer estos grannys seguí un patrón que me enviaron por instagram. Me pareció tan bonito que no dudé en comenzar a tejerlo. Busqué mis lanas y una aguja de 3.5mm y me puse en acción. Les confieso que tenía la idea de que eran muy complicados, pero, la verdad, es que no lo son y, además, se pueden tejer muy rápido.
Eso sí, prestando mucha atención porque deberíamos ser muy precisos a la hora de tejer los puntos. No deberíamos saltar ni uno. ¡A mí me pasó! Pero, no me di cuenta sino hasta que terminé la vuelta y cambié de color de hilo. ¡Ya no podía echar atrás! No me desanimé, al contrario, así continué, pues me repetía constantemente que es parte del aprendizaje, que los errores nos pueden dejar muchas lecciones.
El error lo cometí en el granny de tonos tierra, en los puntos del color beige. En los grupos de tres puntos altos, hubo un grupo que solo hice dos puntos altos. Si lo detallan bien, lo pueden notar.
El granny de color amarillo y fucsia me encantó. Lo tejí con más cuidado y me quedó mucho mejor a mi parecer.
I will keep practicing every day until I have several grannies knitted with the intention of using them in a bigger project.

Que bueno que iniciaste con los granny y como te pudiste dar cuenta, son muy sencillos de tejer. Este es el granny básico, ya puedes intentar con diferentes patrones, la mayoría son sencillos, algunos son más complejos debido a su diseño, pero ninguno es imposible.

Tejer grannys es muy satisfactorio porque se pueden adaptar a múltiples proyectos. Saludos ☺️

Granny squares are very simple yet it needs your full attention because you can’t skip a stitch
It would mean you made a serious mistake which is impossible to correct until you undo your work but that’s all part of the learning process

Oye, tienes razón el rosa te quedó más prolijo. Tejí algunos grannys en pandemia, de allí no he vuelto a hacer más. Me falta más práctica, algunos me quedaron ajustados y otros sueltos, jaja. También me falta probar con distintos crochets. Abrazos.
