Hive - Where Is The Peak ?

We live in such an age where social media has the upper hand in making our life worth enjoying with friends. Just even a decades time ago, web2 was the only tool to be socialized, web3 hadn’t developed back then, the world headed towards adopting new technologies and also different inclusions of it.

I get it right writing a blog each time how even some limited amount of interactions can bring worthy tokens which could be traded and exchanged as currency which has volatile value. With respect to time, when it all started to begin? Not more than 6-7 years ago, period.

Take for example, Hive when it first launched, it has a little user base and no promotions and very limited attractive features. Those frontends we use such as ecency or leo weren’t popular and people could access the main server.

But steadily things started to build up.

Now when the experiment of conducting a monetizing cycle out of #web3 mechanism worked out and people could see the value in uploading their thoughts and personal experiences as posts or blogs, even some coming out with vlog or short videos sharing different expertise.

With such categorical items, different minded users began to build and construct their own community which they loved and the monetary cycle expanded as reward pool began to expand by numbers.

Now that there are old veteran users and new users with the blogging experience of a few days or months. Some of others who have taken a break for a while and others who invested in liquid Hive as power and built a big voting power becoming a whale in the ecosystem.

Thats all about own personal strategy. Nothing else.

Most of the time, during my journey with Hive, I have asked a question to myself. It was worth calling that if I continue blogging despite little to moderate gain, will it worth having a part time career ?

Sometimes the answer was positive in a sense that, to achieve that status - I certainly have to work hard day in and out for several years hoping the reward pool system remains ok. That was the initial response I got from within.

But things start to get complex and so as the approach when I found out that, despite having continuity in the #blockchain, there has to be at least one whale backing up or helping out to curate to achieve that goal in the span of time.

The effort and time it is made to prepare a quality post and if the bunch or series of them go unrewarded or unengaged - that not only creates a vacuum of confidence but also hinders the growth to achieve the status. Unfortunately there are millions out there on the chain which faced the crisis of attention and deprived engagement.

It takes a lot of time effort and hard work to have a large base of follower, with which #engagement can be made but what I see that there are even more things needed to be completed. The number of active users and posters can be raised.

There are visitors who visit too often out of curiosity, from the number some of them open up a single #account and the other posts initially, but only a fraction of them stay in the long run. Why it happens?

It happens because the whales are selective while choosing to curate and the big users get busy engaging intimate friends post most of the time in such case, equality is not ensured and that draws the basic difference in staying Hive or dropping out.

Realistically, the later on tops on the results of statistics. It counts on this date forth.
