How many of us still have the habits which we are fond of when we were children?

There was so much free time when I was a kid. I was a kid who was not so good at going school daily, instead I used to watch TV all the time and playing cricket, volleyball in the evenings. I used to watch only animation channels and Hollywood channels. There are so many holidays for schools, for dussara it's like ten days of holidays. Those were the pleasant days. In those childhood days, every one is used to have a habit. My habit is to draw, I like to draw in my free time.

I used to draw Shaktiman, Aladdin, Tom & Jerry, Popaye and Pokemon. These are my favourite animations to draw at that time. Those are also my favourite animations to watch too. All our street kids are gathered at a single house who has the TV and see with excitement. After we got ourselves a TV, I departed from others and watched my favourite solo. I once made a sculpture of Ganesha out of clay and all the others in our street saw it and appreciated me.

Up untill intermediate academics my habit of drawing didn't change, it was only after I joined engineering studies I didn't had much time to concentrate on it and eventually I forget my habit and instead of drawing I picked up wasting my time as my only habit. Instead of having a productive time, I was wasting it. In those few years of my drawing habit, I didn't really concentrated on perfecting it instead I just try to draw the outline of everything I saw at that time. Hence, my drawings are just a line of shape.

Sometimes I tried to revisit my drawing habit, but failed to continue it. The happiness I get when I complete a single drawing cannot be expressed in words. In Biology subject there are plenty of drawings to draw and our Biology teacher instructs only me to draw something on the black board if she have to. I was good at drawing the heart shape in Biology. I even got a prize for it when a competition was placed for Biology drawings on a white chart. Even in the social subject I used to draw India map on the request of our teacher for explaining which part of India is named what.

After engineering I was interested in reading some online stories and so. After that it became a habit of reading everything I see in front of me. But, due to my short memory I wouldn't memorize much of it and even though I forget I just wanted to read for the sake of pleasure. In these way my drawing habit had become a habit of reading. I'm happy with what I wanted to do, but deep down there will be a voice saying you forget your habit of drawing.

Nowadays I tend to write posts on hive platform which was also not easy to come by. At first I was just copy and pasting others work as my work without knowing that it was a plagiarism or scam. But now I tend to write my own experiences as the article content to share with the hive community how it is like to share your experiences with others. I'm really trying my best to create content based only on my experiences and it's been very productive. For now writing and reading content is my habit and I know it for sure as I'm doing it daily. May be this is called being productive. When your habit is things that pays you off, then your life would be some what better.
