Architectural Style of the Largest Gas Station Cafe in Aceh

Hi friends of architecture and design, this time I will invite you to review one of the aesthetic buildings in one of the regions of North Aceh. Namely, the Gathaf Kupi cafe, cafe and restaurant is located in one of the gas stations, now this gas station itself is a place to fill up petrol for vehicles in our city. So, this gas station and cafe is privately owned, so the owner built a place that has several other functions here. One of them is Gathaf Kupi, this cafe and restaurant is located in Teupin Punti, North Aceh district.

Gathaf Kupi has a fairly large area, its elegant design has 2 outdoor and indoor areas. Well, this area itself is designed like a cafe in general, only in my opinion there is a uniqueness to the interior that they use in mixing and matching the cafe design with the interior.

The first time I came here, I was invited by one of my friends to hang out at this cafe. When I arrived at the location, I immediately asked my friend to take a fun photo in front of the cafe area. This cafe has a concrete foundation, with a fairly simple design but the minimalist impression can be seen in the relief part of the front area. Well, this cafe building has 2 floors, the top and bottom floors have the same use, namely a place to relax for visitors to this place.

On the main floor, in the first area we enter the cafe, there are seats made of wood. This place is equipped with interior facilities such as fans, but this part also has half open walls, so the air is still very natural. In this main part there is also glass and lights which are usually used in this interior to take photos for visitors who come.

Entering the second area inside the cafe, there is a special bar table for the cafe's customers. The bar table is designed quite attractively, brown in color with a marble motif on the walls. So the floor in this area is made higher than other areas, namely about 50 cm higher than other areas.

Well, apart from the bar table, this section also has plastic chairs arranged in a row where young people hang out. Usually they relax in this place and enjoy playing games, because the entire cafe area is equipped with wifi. Well, interestingly, this area has lots of high walls to support the second floor. However, the wall seems to give a different impression because it is made with a bluish black marble motif. Close to the wall there are stairs to the 2nd floor which are made of iron. And I think it is very sturdy, the supporting pole is quite large.

On the right side, there is a fish pond with a minimalist money bridge dividing the pond. The pool is made of cement with a motif in relief that resembles rock so it is very similar to real nature. The addition of ornamental plant ornaments is quite supportive of the coolness in this area.

Exploring this place when I got to the outdoor section I was very surprised by the design of this area. I really like that this area is a favorite for young people who often smoke here. The cement walls painted by the artist's hand make it a special attraction, even the black combination makes this area quite cool. Uniquely, even the chairs and tables are made differently from the first area. Made from iron with a combination of wood, it is quite supportive of the concept they put together. So, the oatdor area itself has a roof made of iron with zinc walls on top. Underneath the pillars are made to support the wall. Apart from that, the front area is planted with plants to look fresh and cool.

The next outdoor area is my most favorite area. This area has no roof, here they rely on the good season to relax and the time is definitely afternoon to evening when the atmosphere starts to get cold. Interestingly, they made this place partly using concrete. There are plants on the table planted in rows. Now, next to this area, the wall tables are lined with ornamental plants planted neatly, so that is enough to make this perfect. Now for the chairs, it's a shame they haven't arranged them neatly, because when I arrived the sun was still very hot, I thought there would be no one to relax here.

So, as I said above, this place is at a vehicle gas station. With a very large capacity and area, the owner does not only function as a gas station or cafe. They use it to make mini markets and accommodation which in my opinion is enough to make this place cool with these various facilities.
