Dreamy Vegan Ice Cream Recipe! Homemade is Happiness
I have made ice cream which tastes delicious and without sugar. This sounds like a good thing because I want to reduce my sugar consumption as much as possible.
I dare say this is an original recipe idea that I came across by accident.
About Finding Ice Cream Ideas from Fried Bananas
Have you ever thought before that this ice cream is made from fried bananas? Yes, this ice cream is made from fried bananas.
So some time ago I made fried bananas with the addition of a savory blue sauce. You can read the full recipe here: https://peakd.com/hive-120586/@anggreklestari/making-dessert-from-harvested-bananas
Then I keep the dish in the freezer after the shoot because I don't have to relax.
Then when I eat the banana a day later, I feel the texture and taste are better.
So I thought about making ice cream from fried bananas.
Let's get started with how to make this ice cream.
Ingredients
- Bananas that are not too ripe, fried without flour.
Ingredients for blue sauce:
- 200 ml of butterfly pea flowers water
- 5 tablespoons of cornstarch
- 50 ml of thick coconut milk
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla powder or vanilla essence
How to make
- Step 1
Mix butterfly pea flower water with cornstarch, coconut milk, salt, and vanilla essence. Stir well before cooking.
- Step 2
Cook the mixture until the texture thickens.
- Step 3
After thickening, remove from heat and let cool for a while, but not too cold until the texture is solid. Because we will use this sauce to dip the fried banana.
- Step 4
After the blue sauce has cooled slightly, dip the fried banana that has been skewered with a skewer.
- Step 5
After dipping the bananas in the blue sauce, place them in the refrigerator at least 3 hours before serving.
The Result
Look how beautiful the results are! I have homemade ice cream that is sugar-free and uses plant-based milk.
You can also replace coconut milk with other plant-based milk.
The taste is quite tasty. If you want a sweeter taste you can add other toppings such as honey.
What do you think of my vegan ice cream? Do you want to?
