Traveling is both tiring and fun. Indeed, not being at home makes our minds work extra to arrange everything to feel comfortable and fit for our lives lately.

Eat from one cafe to another cafe. Also, drink coffee at various stops to fill up energy.

This blog is about my story in Batam City. Well, still about the city of Batam. I have lots of stories there. At that time, my husband and I had just finished putting our things in a small inn.

We were completely exhausted, but instead, we couldn't sleep. Finally, we decided to take a walk around the small inn. As we were walking around there, our eyes were drawn to a place that looked much brighter than other places.

Muso Art Cafe. Clearly written marker of the name of the place in the building. Looks promising. So, we both agreed to stop by the place for a while.

Not Just a Cafe

As soon as I entered Muso Art Cafe, I was amazed. They have displayed art in their space. On the wall to the right, I saw a work of art.

There is a sky and cloud-themed artwork. By reflex, my eyes felt fresher than before feeling tired.

Another interesting thing is that they regularly open art classes such as painting. When I was there, there were several people taking painting lessons.

Muso Art Cafe also has an artistic design. Their roof is made open with an interesting shape. Meanwhile, the open space is used as a green space. Mind-blowing!

This is the first time I see a cafe design like Muso Art Cafe. Also, the activities inside the cafe are not just a place to eat and drink. But, more than that.

Coffee Mixed With Milk

Milk coffee is one of the most favorite coffee menus for Indonesians, especially young people. why? Because the taste is not too strong like black coffee. Also, coffee milk has a creamy texture and a combination of savory flavors.

This is my order at Muso Art Cafe. Kopi Susu (coffee with milk), costs IDR 35,000 / USD 2.5. Looks promising. And, I think it tastes good, as good as the eyes promised at the first glance.

They also give a Lotus biscuit. A perfect match. I love this biscuit as well. I think they are good at spoiling their customers.

In addition, the hot coffee is served in a cup which also has artistic value. They take the small details into everything, and I'm amazed by that.

A Special Carrot Cake

As I mentioned in the highlight above, my order is a slice of carrot cake. But a something special. I remember that until now.

It was a delicious carrot cake, not overdone in the cinnamon scent. I've had bad experiences before at other cafes. At another cafe, I got a carrot cake which made me want to vomit because of too much cinnamon.

So, that time at Muso Art Cafe, I went to the cake display place and asked a waitress there if I could taste a bit of the Carrot Cake there before I decided to buy it. Carrot cake that suits our tastes is hard to find. I wanted to make sure it was to my taste, and I wasn't spending my money on a cake I wouldn't like (as was my previous experience).

Amazingly, they allowed me to taste the carrot cake! Finally, I bought a slice of carrot cake from Muso Art Cafe. The taste didn't disappoint me, and it made a great partner for my coffee that night.

With the price of USD 3.5, it's decent enough to be an energy-filling slice of cake. In the city of Batam which is filled with many tourists from Singapore and Malaysia, that includes a reasonable price.

Muso Art Cafe really understands how to pamper their customers. With my need to relieve fatigue, as well as fill my mood energy, this place is very suitable. The right choice at that time. I will come back to that place again if I have a chance to visit Batam City one day.
