Today I will be talking about the @meowcurator dividends and APR .

MeowCurator and MeowLEO

Well if you don't know yet , @meowcurator is a curation project on LeoFinance . They upvote good quality posts and pay 90% of the curation rewards back to delegators . 10% is their fee .

One unique concept of @meowcurator is "Auto-Compounding"

How does it work ?

Well let's take an example without Auto-Compounding .

1. You delegate 100 LEO to @meowcurator , you get say 0.5 LEO per day as dividends
2. You have to power up the 0.5 LEO and delegate it again to @meowcurator if you want to increase the delegation .
3. So next day your payout percentage is calculated for 100.5 LEO . But if you forget to do the 2nd step or if you are too lazy to do it ( Can't do it everyday right ? It becomes boring ) You will get payout dividends for 100 LEO only .

Now what Auto-compounding feature of @meowcurator does is -

1. You delegate 100 LEO to @meowcurator , you set the dividends to 'auto' by sending 0.001 LEO to @meowcurator .
2. You get 0.5 LEO as dividends , instead of sending LEO to you , you will be sent 0.5 MEOWLEO to your account .
3. The next day , your 100 LEO delegation + amount of MEOWLEO you hold will be calculated ( which is 100.5 ) , so let's say you get 0.55 as your share , you will receive 0.55 MEOWLEO that day .
4. So the next day calculation will be 100 LEO delegation + amount of MEOWLEO in your wallet ( which is 1.05 ) . so 101.5 , this will go on and on and on .

Hope you got how it works .

Note: You need not delegate to earn LEO dividends , you can simply buy enough MEOWLEO to earn the dividends . Make sure you have enough MEOWLEO though , if you have just 1 or 2 then the dividends become less than 0.001 so you won't receive it .

Note2: If you haven't set the auto-compounding feature ON then you will get LEO dividends from @meowcurator everyday . The auto-compounding isn't mandatory .

APR calculation

Now to calculate APR , I had to take a different route .

I first checked if there is any person who has delegated and not set "auto" feature ON .

I found @edkarnie , I picked his account because

1. From May 24th his delegation hasn't changed.
2. He hasn't set "auto" feature ON .
3. He has delegated 10k LEO to @meowcurator which is perfect amount to perform calculation on .

Now let us take average amount of LEO dividends ( Remember - delegation is same for all these days - it is 10k )

Average dividend - 4.789 . APR based on this amount = 17.47%
Median dividend - 4.685 . APR based on this amount = 17.10%

Does the APR change for meowLEO holders ?

No it is pretty much the same , it is 17% too but with one difference , the amount of delegation will automatically increase everyday which means the amount of dividends will also increase because of auto-compounding .

Just to keep it simple , 1 MEOWLEO you hold = 1 LEO delegation from your side to @meowcurator . The APR remains the same .
