Introduction
Temptation to Sin comes to us everyday, especially the Christians , maybe from Friends and they may try to force you to do things wrongful ; like
Stealing lieing fighting cheating in exam hall commiting adultery and say it doesn't matter
How do we deal with temptation did you refuse to Sin because of pressure redecule rejection.
These young men refused to Sin against GOD, through what they were given to eat.
Lesson Commentary
When the Babylonians where at the top economically in the days of old . God made it possible for them to be undefeated at the battlefield . When Jehohakim was king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar King of Babylon came and attacked , Jerusalem and entered into it . He went into the Temple and took some articles from the Temple, which he carried away to Babylon. In Obedience to Nebuchadnezzar's order , his commanders took with them to Babylon some Strong , Healthy, and Intelligent Young Men from the Royal families . (Because the Babylonian empire had grown so fast that they didn't have enough to run the government.) Daniel and His Three Friends Haniah, Mishael and Azariah , were among them. They were just teenagers at the time ,as Daniel was just Fourteen years old. The Youths where given the most of the quality foods and wines from the King's House. They were given special professionals to train them. Later the names of these four young men where changed. Daniel became Balteshazzar , while his order three friends where named Shedrach , Meshach and Abednego respectively.God gave Daniel and his three friends a reward
Even though the chief like Daniel and his friends a lot he did not agree to Daniels request of not eating the king's food and wine 🍷🍷,
Daniel refused to eat because he heard that the food was sacrificed to idols and that was not the way he was cultured knowing that the eating the food would Defile him
What Daniel did was to seek the chief official permission to eat other foods instead,
He and his friends requested a new kind of food which was vegetables and water 💦 instead of the King's meat and wine the chief official disagreed to Daniel and His Three Friends Haniah Mishael and Azariah request this is because the boys May grow lean and the king might find out and punish him
But Daniel asked to test it them for ten days and then he would know what to do the Chief official reluctantly agreed and Fed Daniel and his three friends vegetables and water in the ten days
In the Space of these ten days a miracle happened
GOD made Daniel and his friends ten times better than other young men who had eaten the kings food
He even made them wiser intelligent 🤓 and smarter than all the wise men and advisers. The king 👑 of Babylon added them to his political adviser and wise men.
Daniel are his friends are just like me and you
Not that they don't like meat 🍖 but they had self control and did what was right. not every thing we eat in some certain places are God for the body, even in so much hunger. we should ask GOD for our daily bread 🍞 and GOD would help us. We ought to read our Bible so we can pray and be spiritual. And He loves us so much he wouldn't get tired of taking care of all our needs
