Larry Is Alive 6 May 2024: I Am Alive Challenge
Hello everyone and warm welcome to my Larry hunt for monday, the 6th day of May, 2024. Chelsea's chances of playing in Europe next season improved after a comfortable (5-0) victory over West Ham at Stamford Bridge. That win over West Ham has seen Chelsea leapfrog Man United on the table to tht 7th position while United drops to 8th, although they have a game in hand.
Larry then veers off to have a look at today in #history.
Larry begins his look at today in history from the USA. He finds out that on this day in 1937, while landing in Lakehurst, New Jersey, after its maiden transatlantic crossing of the year, the German dirigible Hindenburg caught fire and was destroyed, killing 36 of the 97 people on board.
From the USA, Larry goes to Austria.
He finds out that on this day in 1856, Sigmund Freud, an Austrian neurologist and the founder of psychoanalysis was born in Freiberg, Moravia, Austrian Empire [now Příbor, Czech Republic].
From Austria, Larry goes to England. He finds out that on this day in 2023, In the first British coronation in nearly seven decades, Charles III and Camilla were crowned king and queen, respectively.
From England, Larry goes to the world of space exploration. He finds out that on this day in 2002, Elon Musk, a South African-born American entrepreneur, founded the aerospace company SpaceX, which helped usher in the age of commercial space flight.
From the world of space exploration, Larry goes to the world of tech companie. He finds out that on this day in 1998, Steve Jobs launched Apple's first iMac, a personal computer that was a major success and helped the struggling business recover.
Finally, Larry rounds off his look at today in #history from England. He finds out that on this day in 1953, Tony Blair, the leader of the British Labour Party and the youngest prime minister of the United Kingdom since 1812, was born in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Having seen all these pieces of historical events, Larry zooms off to begin his daily deliveries.
