LeoFinance is now 'InLeo' | The Change is Good

Finally, the most awaited update has been released by LeoFinance which is related to rebranding. The new name has been released and the project is in transition mode from the old name to the new one and every digital domain and asset will be renamed and transitioned to the new brand name. Twitter has also done it and this was one of the biggest moves by the company that was not liked by many people in the beginning but later on, they started liking it as X.com sounds much more familiar than Twitter.

Leo team announced the rebranding a couple of weeks back and they asked the community to share some names that they can consider for rebranding. Unfortunately community was not able to give any good name but the founders Khal and Erik found this name cool and catchy so they decided to go with it. Its been just one day since the rebranding announcement and I have gone through a couple of posts and many threads about it. It's great that everyone liked the new name and they're spreading the awareness within the community and also on alternate social media. The new name still carries the Leo tag which is great and it is short and simple but such a cool name that anyone can call it faster.

Change is Good

LeoFinance (now the InLeo) team has been working to add more value to the hive ecosystem. This change is good because they have announced some of the changes which I think are going to be a good value addition. They have already been working on bringing many new users on the platform and for that the campaign is already in place. This campaign worked pretty well in September and now for October the campaign has started from 9th October onwards and it is expected that more community members will be part of it and they will be able to onboard many new people on the platform.

• Now with the rebranding Leo team has been focusing more on community building and they are still working to make everything app in Leo-Verse. This is good when I can see that they did not lose their focus while continuing the legacy and adding much more to the ecosystem. I like the idea that their focus on community building is the priority.
• Now with this rebranding the approach for curation has also been changed and this is one of the biggest moves I would say. The team has announced that any type of content is allowed to be posted in the InLeo community and now its not just about crypto and finance. We have a lot of people talking about different categories and topics but not everyone is familiar with crypto and finance so this was the barrier that was stopping them from posting in this community. Now since this barrier has been removed by the team I believe that more people will be starting to post in the community because the curation will also be extended to any type of content published in the community. Being a part of the curation team I appreciate this change because now as a curator I will have much more to explore and will be getting the opportunity to go through different variety of content by amazing content creators.
• Rebranding can be a cool idea to bring the attention of outside people because the new brand sounds so good which represents the Leo Legacy while keeping it a Web 3 social media platform. The new logo design and the colour combination are another fantastic change that is good enough to grab more attention from the people who are still not part of the platform.

This transition will take some time but I'm sure that the team will get it done as soon as possible and I can also see the change on the Leo homepage and the discord server. Ayesha the update shared on the call this transition is already in progress so we should be able to see more changes coming in and I expect that this should be completed in a very short period. I enjoy the change being a part of this platform and I appreciate whatever they have done because it is going to make it even better.
