Hi,

the theme for today's #februaryinleo, the initiative for increasing the interaction and the quality of posts, is about the best equipment that I've bought, which falls under the #wednesdaytech.

For me, it is easy, the laptop I own, as I do most of the work with it. Not where I'm an employee, for that there is a second laptop, but the one I use in private.

Why? First reason, it is producing money, and with I can scale my business and the endeavours I'm taking part in. It gives me mobility, as I can work from everywhere in the world with it. It does not matter if I'm in Japan, England or Tunis, as long if there is some kind of signal, I get most of my work done.
The world has changed in the past years by a lot. 20 years ago, not everyone had a mobile phone, and now we have smartphones that beat the power and specifications of computers from 20 years ago. Just imagine, that the rocket that landed on the moon, had less computing power than your smartphone, and by less, I mean a lot less. Just to give you the figure, the Apollo Guidance Computer had RAM of 4KB, a 32KB hard disk, and had a weight of 30 kg. This makes the current iPhone, almost 1 billion times faster than that computer.
Now back to my laptop, it is the latest generation o Lenovo ThinkPad P14s series. Not the best one on the market, I can't play games or so, but this is not an issue, as I try to avoid games. It is one of the best in terms of value for money, and it is quite reliable. Had some Lenovo machines in the past years, and never had an issue with them.
It gives freedom, and it helps a lot on daily work. I think this would be the most useful equipment I have acquired.

I have some other equipment at home, like tools for cutting, bending, and cleaning. All are professional grade, as before I had some normal equipment, but when I switched to professional grade ones, my life improved. Most pieces are Japanese and German, and I think I don't have any equipment from other countries. I got more time, and the product was better. No headache with equipment breaking, as I clean everything after use, and store it properly.

For me, every piece of equipment that I buy, needs to be top niche. Life is too short for reworks and bad equipment.

What about you, what would be your best equipment?

This is part of the initiative #februaryinleo, where you can still participate, even if you missed the post from the start, like I did. All the details are in here and in here.
