Picture taking

Hi,

I've seen many posts about photography and seed some great photographs in here. I'm not a photographer, and most of my pictures are not that good. My wife is definitely one, as she does amazing pictures, does not cut images like I do, and most of the time catches a better angle.

I have to admit, that my pictures got better in the past years, like one of the newest is above and one from 5 years, here just below.

This is how my pictures looked like before, where I just got the phone out and pressed the photo shoot button, just because I've been enjoying the moment.
Well, this is the main reason why I sometimes take a picture, just because I enjoyed the moment, the person I was with, or just the view. As much as I can, I try to be present there, in that piece of time, that vanishes. As most, probably, I will never look back again at that picture. I see loads of tourists taking pictures all over, missing out the atmosphere of the place.

Now back to the picture taking. I've tried to learn something in the past years, to not move the camera, and to centre a picture. Mainly, I did it, so that I can take better pictures of my kid. These are the images that remain, and I try to shoot a picture every day, to see his evolution in time. Now he has short hair, but for two years he wanted to have long hair, which I have to admit, suited him. We learn him from the start that taking care of himself matters. He poses once in a while for a photo shooting, and there I get the best pictures. I will not share them in here, as they are private. These pictures show my picture taking evolution. The images get better, have a higher detail capture, and I started playing with the camera settings.

For me, picture taking is more like a hobby, or better said a way to capture precious moments, where I try to take them more genuine every time I press the shot button.

How about you? Do you take pictures?

This is part of the initiative #aprilinleo, which aims increasing the interaction and the quality of posts, where you should participate. All the details are in here.
