Giving myself a birthday gift

today is that one time in a year event for me that I call birthday. I wanted to give myself a gift, not something to be spoiled after, even if it happened like this.

I had some shitcoins around from some airdrops that I wanted to get rid off, as I was not believing in the projects they've been representing, so I turned them to WAX. Not that I think that WAX is better, but there is a lot of action on it newly.

I've discovered that I'm in the top1000 minters of Rplanet and I'm whitelisted to be able to purchase landpacks. A minimum of 2 were guaranteed with 3 land pieces in, if I buy them in the first 30 minutes of the release, as after that other people have been able to buy them.

I managed to get 3 landpacks with 4 land pieces, where it had costed me $400 in WAX.

You must ask me why I would spend so much money on some NFTs? Well, right after the sale closed, I've had already 9x on the investment. To have such a high ROI is amazing. Usually on scarcitiy NFTs that are used somewhere the price goes crazy after the sale.

I could have sold the packs, but I've chosen to keep and open them, as I was sure they would bring more value in, which was also the case as the value had risen to 11x of the purchase value.

What will I do with them? Probably keep them for the long run, as on the current market prices, they produce $30/day, which will be fully amortised in less then 14 days. With the ROI, I will probably go to the pools on CUBdefi.com, as I want to increase my stake in there to a decent level.

Do you hunt limited edition NFTs? Do you have some other crypto opportunities which you try to snipe? If you post an opportunity you will have the chance on some NFTs (Splinterlands, Rising Star and maybe some other.
