Hi,

as I live in Europe and work for an international company that sends me all over the place, it happens that I travel almost every week to another country. I was born in Transylvania, which is a part of Romania, and there the crypto life is quite easy compared to Western Europe or the USA.

There are a lot of crypto ATMs all over the place, where one can get different type of coins directly from FIAT and also exchange the crypto into FIAT with these ATMs. The beauty of it is that nobody asks for an ID or KYC till a transaction worth of 2000€, which by any means is a lot of money in almost any place in the world. You need your wallet address if you want to buy into crypto, or a device where you can access your wallet to send crypto and get FIAT.

Very simple, no hustle and mostly private. This is what I love about it. This system is easy to use for the masses, same like picking up cash from the bank. Most ATMs are international friendly, and depending on the area where you area, they always display English as an international language, together with another major one, like in this case was Italian, but in some other cities, there is German, French, and Spanish. As this photo was done in the South-West of the country, also Hungarian and Serbian is displayed, as there are a lot of people from these countries that are visiting or working in the area.

The only downside, even if one can choose between different crypto tokens, the FIAT can't be chosen, and the local FIAT currency is mandatory as legal tender. Here, the FIAT currency is called Romanian Leu, short RON. Leu means lion.

As an interesting thing, it is the only country in the European Union to have all banknotes made from polymer. There is also Poland, but with a single banknote, which is a commemorative banknote, in a limited series.

As far as I remember, Oceania and Asia are leading the way with these types of banknotes.

They are very sturdy, and basically a man has a tough time to ripe them. As a fun thing, I keep one small banknote with me in the wallet and sometimes at bars, challenge people to break it. If that person manages to do it with bare hands, the full round goes on me, if not, he needs to pay the round. Till now, I did not pay any rounds due to this reason.

How about you? Can you get crypto easy? How is your currency?
