Choosing the relationships for a better life

Hi,

today was a very long day, travelled most of the day and had over 4 hours of meetings. The meetings have been great, that is a very positive thing and love to work with great constructive people, that search for solution and don't know to show of their ego.

At the current stage of the market, I'm in a sweet spot to be able to chose my customers. If I could not, probably I would find something else to do. Why? Well, I don't like to work with bad people, that are toxic. My boss always asks, why do I avoid some guys, and I always tell him, that these guys need to behave first, to get more attention, as there is enough to do without them.
Other type of people that I avoid, are guys that belittle the ones around them when they talk. These are usually low self-esteem types, that have reached a position, where they feel important. But they aren't, as everyone is replaceable. We are all assets and resources in a company. That is a fact. Even Steve Jobs was kicked out from Apple, the company he founded.

So, work is definitely more fun, with people that are good intended. They don't need to think alike, on the contrary, the different they are, the better the output and the ideas.

In private life I apply the same. Different type of friends circle, different types of characters, but no pricks. Life is better this way. much better. My wife is a compassionate feeler, I'm a rational thinker, and we make an awesome team. She feels danger for example, and has gut feelings, where from the rational point of view, there shall be no issue. And she is often right.

My friends are from all social classes, from the guy who sings at a nightclub that barely pays his family, to the big real estate owner, that continues to accumulate every month. That does not matter in the end, what matters is that if I call them and ask for help, they say yes, and the same applies for them. We live a life in a very shallow environment, where a lot of people need to make appointments 3 months in advance to meet their friends. This is crap, with real friends, you can visit them directly, and if they can't take of view, they say it directly. That builds trust in the long run.
