#BeerSaturday - Oktoberfest 2023 - Munich

For today's #BeerSaturday, from @detlev, I would like to tell you about our last day at Oktoberfest this year. We were there with the family on the last day. We always think that the last day is simply the best because the tourists are already on their way and the service is much more relaxed. Most people are actually very relaxed on the last day.
And so our day began on the Theresienwiese, where the Oktoberfest takes place every year. I thought Oktoberfest this year was the most successful in the last 10 years.

The first tent we went into was the stables. Here, if you're lucky, you'll meet Arnold Schwarzenegger, who usually comes to this tent.

Das erste Zelt, wo wir hineingegangen sind, war das Marstall. Hier, wenn man Glück hat, trifft man den Arnold Schwarzenegger, den er kommt meisten in diesem Zelt.
Die Atmosphäre ist gelassen, Leute sind sehr entspannt und die Band im Karussell, spielt gute Musik. Wir hatten ein Bier und eine Breze für unseren Sohn.

So beer is brought in the tents, with old beer wagons that are pulled by horses and beautifully decorated for the holidays.

Directly opposite Marstall is the Fischer Vroni tent, where the theme is of course fish.
The house specialty is Steckerlfisch, which is smoked.

My son wanted to walk outside again, in the big crowd.
Luckily, he isn't allowed on the giant swing because he wanted to go there and I didn't.

We also went to the flea circus, where he curiously looked at everything.

But he had the most fun at Pitt's Death Wall, where some very good motorcyclists did acrobatics on wheels

Am meisten hatte er Spaß aber im Pitt's Todeswand, wo ein paar sehr gute Motorradfahrer Akrobatik auf Räder gemacht haben.
Wir kommen hier jedes Jahr und immer finden wir es sehr aufregend.

My wife wanted to drink some champagne, so we went to the Kufflers tent.
It's more like one of the celebrity tents, and you can usually only get in with a reservation. It was also very relaxed here and our son also went dancing on stage with other children.

Meine Frau wollte ein Sekt trinken, also sind wir zum Kufflers Zelt gegangen.
Es ist eher einer der Promizelte, und normalerweise kommt man rein nur mit Reservierung. Es war auch hier sehr entspannt und unser Sohn ist auch der Bühne mit anderen Kindern tanzen gegangen.

Oktoberfest doesn't work without a Hax'n-Semmel (knuckle roll). Every time I'm there I take one. It's so delicious.
Oktoberfest geht nicht ohne eine Hax'n-Semmel. Jedes Mal, wenn ich da bin, nehme ich eine. Die ist so was von lecker.
In the afternoon, we drove home. It was a very beautiful and sunny day.
Am Nachmittag sind wir nach Hause gefahren. Es war ein sehr schönes und sonniges Tag.

Awe man, this is so awesome. You are so lucky. I am pretty jealous. I'd love to go to Oktoberfest one day. I had a fair number of Oktoberfest beers on my recent trip, but I am guessing none of them even held a candle to the original!
