Lets Be real. Being authentic can be a challenge sometimes . It is easy sometimes to go through the motions everyday and just write down what is needed, but tapping into your own truth and expressing it can be more difficult.

People want something that is authentic that they can trust. Most of the time it is easy to tell if someone knows what they are talking about but some people are just out to get your money and will write anything. I know everybody wants to make a sale. If you want people to take you seriously then you need to add your own personal experience into the mix. Nobody wants B.S.

Come from your heart and be real. People can sense when you are not doing that. It is ok to want excitement and hype but don't stretch the truth. Develop a trust with people first then you can share your products with them and they will be more likely to buy.

The best way to be real is to practice everyday. Writing this blog has given me lots of practice. Writing something original and authentic every day will definitely make you better at it.

I rarely run across educational resources that are this comprehensive and the support you get from the CTP community is phenomenal. If you are new, all the information is there for you to start your business of online marketing. If you have some experience it will help fill in the gaps of why you might not be succeeding. This is what it did for me. I needed to learn how to write and use my auto responders better along with other things. If you need some help getting pointed in the right direction then it would be real good to check them out.

What are you missing in your knowledge to succeed in online marketing?

One of the things I have been really challenged with is balance.

I am a musician and songwriter.

This has been the love of my life. Having a band has been one of the big ways that I have learned to be authentic. Being on stage can make you very self conscious. I have learned to be ok with people not liking my music. That is ok because most people do like it anyway .

I practice two or three times a week so having an online business and a day job complicates things even more. I really want to let go of the day job and focus on marketing and my band. This takes time management and balance in my life. One of the reasons I got into marketing was to learn how to promote my band. These days the competition is fierce and in the last year many bands have bitten the dust so marketing is very important.

Finding a balance has become very important to me because I don't want to give up.
